Can't Find .htaccess file in public_html

Hi, need help, I can't find my .htaccess file in cpanel FileManager > public_html.. I am using tommy serv

You have to create the file

This can be done by simply creating a blank file named .htaccess, be sure to leave it blank before the '.'

Thanks for your help. Also, if I only want to rewriting the url, my .htaccess file should be in public_html, right?

If it should rewrite the URLs of the entire main domain, then yes. Otherwise put it in whatever folder you picked as the domain root.
