cloudbot Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 website (*****.heliohost.org) is online but isn't responding to connection attempts. Detected The remote computer isn’t responding to connections on port 80, possibly due to firewall or security policy settings, or because it might be temporarily unavailable. Windows couldn’t find any problems with the firewall on your computer. Contact the service provider or owner of the remote system for further assistance, or try again later Additonaly I cannot login to CPanel either.. Anyone know why?
Luigi123 Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 The outage was caused by a DoS attack out of Liberia that ran the server out of memory. Additional abuse prevention has been implemented to mitigate this specific type of attack going forward. Tommy is back online.
cloudbot Posted January 9, 2018 Author Posted January 9, 2018 Not for me.. " This page isn’t workingjohnny.heliohost.org is currently unable to handle this request.HTTP ERROR 500" I cant login to CPanel or my website. They never load. I've tried different web browsers i don't know if that matters.
wolstech Posted January 9, 2018 Posted January 9, 2018 That's Johnny, not Tommy. Poor performance such as this is quite normal for Johnny since he's meant for experimenting, not production websites. http://heliohost.grd.net.pl/monitor/ His load has been rather high the past day or so. If you want a production grade server, you want Tommy (which is currently limited to donors because the disk is almost full).
