Mystical Water Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Still they have developed their own software similar to outlook express in which you can check your emails directly. The name of the software is Windows Live Mail Desktop.
Dragonfire Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 But can you like save the messages in the program and access them when you're offline like outlook express? Waiting for reply.
resin Posted March 29, 2007 Posted March 29, 2007 Yahoo has removed all limits on it's email storage and is said to begin in may... read about it here: http://news.com.com/2100-1038_3-6171111.ht...0&subj=news and they have released their API's as well... read about it here: http://news.com.com/2100-1032_3-6171378.ht...0&subj=news
Quantum Media LLC Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 I do belive that Microsoft is suing yahoo for some type of copyright infringement because of the yahoo mail beta version looking too much like outlook.
Maxdamantus Posted March 30, 2007 Posted March 30, 2007 I prefer my address being @gmail.com, I like Google.
1337 Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 Plus 99% of us don't need more than one or two gigabytes anyways. Welcome to 2007: we are not restricted by tiny email space limits anymore. It's all about the interface nowadays. Gmail is very fast and efficient over the other two (and yes, I have used yahoo mail beta)Â Â Not to mention that Gmail has some features that you have to pay for in other services (free POP access anyone?)
AverageJoe Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 Gmail is the best. google just offers so many free programs. The space is quite nifty to. You can archive all your emails. Such as important notices and stuff like that.
Dragonfire Posted March 31, 2007 Posted March 31, 2007 The best thing in gmail is that you can search your mails easily. I get hundreds of mails daily. Most of them are useless. Gmail allows me to select all hundreds together in one go and I can get rid of them by clicking only once. Its really neat. I really like this thing in gmail and am hoping that microsoft comes up with something like this.Â
joemama718 Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 just got windows live mail desktop beta...and it appears u can search there too. is this supposed to be the new outlook? oO
Kyougi Posted April 12, 2007 Author Posted April 12, 2007 just got windows live mail desktop beta...and it appears u can search there too. is this supposed to be the new outlook? oO It's codebase is derived from Outlook, so pretty much.
arunsonnet Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 I like gmail because of its simplicity and ease of use. While I hate yahoo for its ads.
1337 Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 The free version of yahoo mail has WAY too many ads. Hotmail has sucky search (and no search at all on the 'normal' hotmail) Gmail all the way!
joemama718 Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 i like gmail better too...but i don't like their interface that much. thats why i use windows live desktop or outlook
Dragonfire Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 Windows live mail is quite good but not for some users who can not put up with it as it requires a high-speed connection. Gmail and yahoo rock in that but microsoft still goes all the way by allowing users to choose between the usual hotmail interface or the new windows live interface. I'll just stick with this for now.
