kmdg Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 Hi, at your Wiki there is information about Django at Johny but there is no? Could you install new version of it?
Krydos Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 What version of python would you like to use with django? Tommy uses python 3.6.0 and django 1.10.5. I was thinking of using python 2.x.x on Johnny so people that prefer that over 3.x.x. Python 2.7.13 was last updated on 2016-12-17 so it's still being developed.
kmdg Posted April 17, 2017 Author Posted April 17, 2017 I need at least 2.7.x. and Django 1.10.x. I know, Tomy has new django but is full and I can't register there.
Krydos Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Tommy free signups reset daily at midnight UTC, or you can get an invite that works any time if you make a donation of any amount https://heliohost.org/tommy if you are interested in transferring your account to Tommy.
Krydos Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 We are no longer planning on installing Django on Johnny at this time. While it is technically possible it would have a lot of conflicts with Ruby on Rails. Johnny is the only server we have that currently supports Ruby on Rails so we're not going to swap it out for Django when we already have two servers, Ricky and Tommy, that support Django. If you want to run Django you'll need to create an account on Ricky or Tommy for now. If you have a compelling reason why you think Johnny needs to have Django too we're willing to listen.
