MauroF Posted January 29, 2017 Posted January 29, 2017 Today I created a subdomain (code.wolfcube.tk) for my main domain (wolfcube.tk or wolfcube.heliohost.org), but when I try and access the https version it will show a simingly random website, even though the URL bar will show my domain. So: http://code.wolfcube.tk/index.html will show my normal index page, while https://code.wolfcube.tk/index.html will show content from the website albertnis.com. I don't have a certificatge yet but it seems strange that this would happen as I would except an error message.EDIT: by pinging both websites it looks like albertnis.com is actually hosted by heliohost.

MauroF Posted January 30, 2017 Author Posted January 30, 2017 Try this http://wiki.helionet.org/Installing_an_SSL_Certificate_with_ZeroSSL It's free to have https on your site.I know how to get a certificate, I was just asking why it was redirecting to another website. As far as I remember, when I installed the certificate for the main domain it didn't have such problem
Krydos Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 It probably has something to do with SNI and the fact that all of the domains are hosted on the same IP. If you got a dedicated IP it wouldn't happen. Heliohost.org and Helionet.org are hosted on the same IP too, and there were certain https URLs that would show the wrong site. It seemed fairly random to me, but I didn't put a lot of effort into figuring out the pattern. My guess is that it has to do with the order of the VirtualHosts in the httpd.conf.
