Demi:Pulse
Ugh. It's been bothering me, but maybe someone could give me a second opinion. I've been through THREE freaking MP3 players. All of them are busted and returned. I'm wondering now, is the iPod worth my while? It looks good and durable, and from a reputable company (debatable)... what bothers me is that the battery will eventually lose it's charge and I'll have to replace it for $80. T__T; What do you guys think?
Quantum Media LLC
Well, Just a couple of things. I have a Toshiba GigaBeat 20 gig. I LOVE IT and have never had any problems with it. The thing about your batter....always keep it on charge when your not using it. NEVER let it go completely dead.
awesomegamer
I thought they solved that problem a long time ago with laptop batteries? Edit: I just realized that is not technically a question.
Kyougi
No, they didn't. Gigabeats are good, especially if you replace the firmware with RockBox. Ogg ftw.
Demi:Pulse
Wait wait. You can make those things play OGG files!? I'm in! o__o
Kyougi
Wait wait. You can make those things play OGG files!? I'm in! o__o Lol, yep, yep, just take a look at the Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rockbox Has MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 support, though, IMHO, that's really no worth 'cuz you are forced to convert your video into that format. AJKING
if you get a ipod and you are going to take it everywhere its better not to get a nano they can break easily
Demi:Pulse
Thanks for the tip. iPods are easier to acquire up here anyways, so I'll probably get a iPod 3G and put that firmware on it. OGG format rocks! Any more tips and suggestions would be appreciated
AJKING
Yes Good choice i wouldn't recommend the nano if you are going out all the time using it!

XPlumpedXLipsXandXArsenicX
Get a *cough* ZUNE *cough*. While the zune is bulkier, the new zune has 80g of storage space. The iPod nao has 2g-4g. No question there. Not to metion a bigger GLASS screen.
misty
I have an iPod Video(old version). I noticed with iPods, they get scratched and Fingerprinted EASILY. If u do get an iPod, then you should get a case. I have a pink one from a company called Belkin.
