Hi there,

 

I just downloaded my backup file from [ https://heliohost.org/backup/ ]. However, I only got a tar.gz file and have no clue what to do with it...

And when I manage to get a backup, how do I switch to Tommy?

You'll need to make a small donation ($1.00 dollar would be helpful) to get a Tommy invite. Once you do that, post the transaction id and we'll set you up.

You can upload it to your new account and extract it on the server or you can extract it on your home pc. You may need to install software to extract it at home. On mac and linux you can just type on a command line

tar zxvf django.tar.gz

On windows it's more complicated and you'll probably have to download something like winzip http://www.winzip.com/win/en/downwz.html

7-Zip will do it but you need 9.38. https://sourceforge.net/projects/sevenzip/files/7-Zip/9.38/

 

Some of the later versions may do it but I'm sure of 9.38

It's been a while, but I made the donation and got an invite. But I can't pick my own username (obviously).

What do you mean exactly with a transaction id?

 

Or do you need the email adress I donated from?

What was the username you tried to signup with? We can send you another invite if you need it.

Anytime you make a purchase using PayPal, PayPal creates a Transaction ID. You should have received an email from PayPal with that number.

You should be able to use that username now but Krydos will probably have to resend your invite.
