BUT

just logged in to cPanel at --> [ http://www.heliohost.org/classic/ ] - with no issues

just used Firefox browser - received --> "Invalid Login" at [ https://heliohost.org/new/ ]

back to the same password I was using when I started this thread and with the same issues

I also had a problem logging in with the new site but only with the username and password it had stored in the username and password fields which was my main account. Even after correcting the password, it still gave me an invalid login. I could sign in with my other stevie accounts with no problem. How is the password field picking up the password?

Also when I correct the password and try to sign in, the invalid login page is showing the wrong password in the password field again, but only with my byron account.

I received the upgrade to 1000 GiB disk storage to my account

I received a Email notice that my Email address had been added

when I try to log in on the new site - I use (enter) my cPanel user name or my Email address - and cPanel password - but receive "Invalid Login"

at that notice I can reset ( i.e. enter a new one) password - that will work on the the 'old site' and cPanel link - with account name not Email address - and not on the 'new site'

@Krydos - does the exact same thing with Firefox too (I normally use Chrome). But it only gives me the invalid error with my main domain and not my other domains.

Still doesn't work even after correcting the password on the non working account (byron). After correcting the password for the "byron" account and it doesn't work, I change the username and it works for my other account (both using the same password).

I added the account byron to the ACP. Can you log in now? I haven't changed your password.

Yes it works fine now.

@bdistler, could you try changing your password a few times to different things with and without special characters? I suspect that there is some symbol that is messing up the login.

@Krydos

as a note...

changed password with cPanel at [ https://stevie.heliohost.org:2083/ ] which set the password to ==> f4%P@-+h <== (i.e. I could not enter one)
then logged in to cPanel with no issue from that the same link
BUT
at [ https://heliohost.org/new/ ] I receive --> "Invalid Login"
###
the only place I know of to - set my password - that is to enter my own - is after I receive a "Invalid Login" on the 'new' site
is there a better place to reset my password ?
###
I will try to reset the password to all random lower case letters
###
with a password with 15 random lower case letters - I can use my cPanel name or Email address and log in on the 'site' with no issues
###
after log in at the 'new' site I get sent to --> [ https://heliohost.org/login/ ] - there is no way to log out on that page - I went into cPanel and logged out before the next test
###
back to receiving...
"Error
Uh oh, there was an error changing your password. The admins have already been notified of the problem, but if you would like us to manually change your password for you please contact support. You could also try reseting your password again."

This error was fixed by editing the password reset and login code. For security reasons we can't explain how it was fixed, but there faulty code did not pose any security risk itself. It just returned a false "invalid login" message when the login information was correct in certain cases.
