Enabling Ssl

Hi,

 

Since I saw "SSL/TLS Manager" in my Cpanel account, I took a free non commercial SSL certificate from StartSSL.

 

After I added this certificate, I when I connect to my website, I am getting error:

 

(Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)

 

And StartSSL forum says its because SSL is not enabled[1]

 

Is it possible to get it enabled with heliohost for free ?

No. SSL is the only service we offer that isn't free. The $12 fee is because we have to purchase you a dedicated IP address needed for SSL.

You can use CloudFlare Flexible SSL (HTTPS) for free on HelioHost.

Marko's suggestion is your best bet if you don't want to pay.

 

Use cloudflare. Just be aware that only connection between cloudflare and you is secure. The connection from cloudflare to our server is not secured in that configuration.
