isemu Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Hello, I'm trying to upload my site using FrontPage. Whenever I try to publish it, I keep getting an error that reads "Unable to create web. Server Error: FrontPage Security Violation". What do I need to do?
AverageJoe Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 Is the page compatible? I don't know what, and what not heliohost supports.
isemu Posted March 18, 2007 Author Posted March 18, 2007 i'm pretty sure it is compatible. The error seems to be in the creation of the FrontPage web itself, not the file transfer.
Quantum Media LLC Posted March 18, 2007 Posted March 18, 2007 some servers dont allow the front page extensions. I dont use heliohost yet and i am not sure if heliohost allows the front page extensions, but if they do, you may have to turn on the feature in cpanel.
Ashoat Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 We do allow FrontPage extensions, although you're the first person I know of to use them. Try enabling them in cPanel, and remember to use the postinfo.html file in the public_html folder.
isemu Posted March 20, 2007 Author Posted March 20, 2007 Ok, FP extensions are enabled. Should I try reinstalling them?
Ashoat Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Sure, I guess. Do you have the postinfo.html still in your public_html folder?
isemu Posted March 22, 2007 Author Posted March 22, 2007 Yes. postinfo.html is still there. I did try reinstalling them, but still no luck. Do you think it might have something to do with the ad script placing the ads on the postinfo.html file that is causing things to not function properly?
Ashoat Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 Hmmm... I highly doubt it, since the other info in there is also customized.
