Can you give me more information about cron jobs so I can prevent this again.

Only 2 things can run per day. So, if you have only one job, it can run only once every 12 hours at most. If you have 2 jobs, they both can only run once a day, 3 jobs need to be scheduled on different days (for example, run #1 and #2 on Mon Weds Fri, #3 on Tues Thurs), or you'd get suspended as soon as #3 ran since #1 and #2 used your two executions for the day.

 

So long as no more than 2 things execute in a single day, regardless of what they are, you're good. If you need more cron, use a service like setcronjob.com to run them.
