Starter Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 How me to install ssl certificate for site idea.ml ? I have .crt and .key files. Quote
wolstech Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 Did you purchase a dedicated IP address first? We require a dedicated IP address to use SSL functions. Quote
wolstech Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 That's Johnny's shared IP. That is not a dedicated IP address. If you made the payment, please post the paypal transaction number and your heliohost username so the IP can be set up. It doesn't happen automatically. Quote
Starter Posted July 23, 2015 Author Posted July 23, 2015 You are crazy team, I don't have money Quote
wolstech Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 We only charge you for it because our provider charges us for it. We just pass our cost of the dedicated IP address to you. We cannot afford to give away free dedicated IP addresses. SSL is the only service that we offer that is not free Since you cannot pay for the IP address, you cannot use SSL. Quote
Starter Posted July 23, 2015 Author Posted July 23, 2015 But, why I can't use ssl if I have ssl certificate? In your ip passed certificate Quote
wolstech Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 Because our version of cPanel does not support SSL with a Shared IP Address. It's not because we don't want to support it, it's because the software we run can't handle it at this time. Quote
Starter Posted July 24, 2015 Author Posted July 24, 2015 Oh, thank you for information. Can you update cPanel to use shared ip for ssl? Quote
wolstech Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Down the road its possible we might support it, but there are AFAIK no plans to support this at this time, even if cpanel is upgraded. Quote
Starter Posted July 24, 2015 Author Posted July 24, 2015 I recomend you to install cp panel of Vesta (vestacp.com) . It full free and with supported shared ssl certificates... Quote
wolstech Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Yuck. I've used hosts that ran that, and have left them because of it. We have absolutely no intention of changing software providers. We run cPanel because it is the industry standard for web hosting. cPanel supports it in newer versions, we just haven't upgraded Stevie to such a version, and didn't enable the functionality on Johnny (he supports it but it's disabled, SSL increases load significantly if there are a lot of users, Johnny falls over a lot as it is and doesn't need more load).
