DebexeL Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Hello!I recently got a free webspace from HelioHost.org.I have put the website on the webspace with ftp, everything is working fine, except that it seems the website needs ports 27015 at UDP and TCP open to work correctly with my gameserver. (the site I uploaded is a banlist site for my garry's mod server) Could it be possible for staff to open it? I really need it.Thank you! - Christian
wolstech Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 It's blocked intentionally and we generally frown upon opening them. Our recommendation is that you change your game server's port to one that's already open. Would it be possible to host the game server on a port like 443, 2082, or 2096 instead?
DebexeL Posted July 21, 2015 Author Posted July 21, 2015 Well... I really wished I would not have to change the port, but I can try if it works.I just need to know which port on HelioHost's end is open on UDP and TCP. - Christian
wolstech Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Krydos will be able to specify the best port to use. I'm not sure if our firewall even distinguishes TCP from UDP packets since I don't know much about its configuration. Escalating.
DebexeL Posted July 22, 2015 Author Posted July 22, 2015 No need to do that anymore. I decided not to do the website, because of some errors in its scripting. You can delete my website, I won't be needing it anymore. (my website is: http://fgsourcebans.heliohost.org/) - Christian P.S.I think HelioHost is a good, free web hosting provider! If I ever must have a website again, I will be sure to check HelioHost.org if I can get one!
wolstech Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 OK. I'll close this for you. If you want to delete your account, you can do so here: http://www.heliohost.../scripts/delete
