Hi,

Since I am using cloudflare for dns they offer free ssl service. I would like to enable complete ssl through cloudflare for this I would be require self signed ssl or I can use cacert root certificate. I have also came to know that I can use ssl without dedicated IP since stevie uses apache server 2.2.16 which supports SNI from http://stackoverflow.com/questions/6106471/is-it-necessary-to-have-dedicated-ip-address-to-install-ssl-certificate.

I also tried it however I found out that port 443 might not be enabled. Because if I try to access my site http://mng4.heliohost.org:443 it returns error.

So, could you please enable the port.

Username: mng4

Thank You

Use https instead of specifying the port number.

Also, our server does NOT support SNI at this time. Despite apache's version, it will not work due to a cpanel limitation. Cpanel requires 11.38 or newer, we have 11.34...

We don't have any plans to update right now. When it finally does happen, it'll likely be updated on Johnny first.

In the mean time, the only choice for using SSL is a dedicated IP address.

Is there any possibility now to use it since cpanel has been upgraded for Stevie?

No. Think of cpanel updates as updating the UI...the stuff it controls (except mysql which was updated to fix innodb) is still just as ancient as before.
