Kingpin007 Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 So I and my brother had made one account each on heliohost and helionet. Kingpin007 and Kingpin006 are the helionet usernames and kingpin1 and kingpin2 were the heliohost usernames. So as i saw that my site had become very unstable on johnny and i did not require services that it offered i decided that i should move it to stevie with the help of my bro. So I deleted my account and used the domain change script using my bro's account and password. and changed it to thegamersparadise.in (it was thegamersparadise.tk before). So Now its been over 4 days since that change and I have pointed all the nameservers properly and yet whenever i visit http://thegamersparadise.in/cpanel I am redirected to the jonny server login panel not the stevie login panel. I can though login at the stevie panel from heliohost.org homepage.Could you guys help me. I want to complete this move soon because i am losing a lot of traffic due to this down time.
yashrs Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 You have your A record pointed to Johnny. http://bybyron.net/php/tools/dns_records.php?domain=thegamersparadise.in&rec=ALLIdeal should be only adding the nameservers, not A record . Please remove the A record.
Kingpin007 Posted July 11, 2014 Author Posted July 11, 2014 I did not understand what you mean by A record. What i did was that i had earlier set-up using cloudflare so then i changed it to ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org (the nameservers) and then used the change domain script on the two accounts to interchange the server. That is all i did i did not create a new A record or anything like that.
yashrs Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Okay, now I think the configuration from your end is correct. There is some problem in the DNS. The entry for http://thegamersparadise.in points to Johnny for some reason. BTW just a question, did you change anything in the Advanced/Simple DNS Editor ?http://bybyron.net/cgi-bin/heliohost-dig.pl?domain=thegamersparadise.in&what=helio. An admin will need to fix that.
yashrs Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 This support request is being escalated to our root admin.
Byron Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Let's give it another 24 hours and see if the changes I made fixes it.
Kingpin007 Posted July 12, 2014 Author Posted July 12, 2014 Thank You For your support now my website does load (i had placed a findex.html file) that i am able to load now. But then the main php software i am using Xenforo had some errors so i had to reupload everything. So i deleted everything in the directory and reuploaded everything. I also deleted the findex.html file. But now I am still getting the same error(no problem here) buth then i tried to access the findex.html file which i had previously deleted but again i was able to access it. I mean how can i access a deleted file? I think there is something wrong here!
