Ashoat Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 In the (hopefully) near future, we will organize hosting into plans: Posting Plans: Posting #1 (25 pts/month)--------------150mb space, 1500mb bandwidth Posting #2 (50 pts/month)--------------350mb space, 3500mb bandwidth Posting #3 (100 pts/month)-------------750mb space, 7500mb bandwidth Ads Plans: Only Ads Plan------------------------------100mb space, 1000mb bandwidth Ads+Posts Integrated (25pts/month)--250mb space, 2500mb bandwidth Paid Plans: Paid #1 ($.25/month)---------------------150mb space, 1500mb bandwidth Paid #2 ($.5/month)-----------------------350mb space, 3500mb bandwidth Paid #3 ($1/month)------------------------750mb space, 7500mb bandwidth All plans will have the current feauture list hopefully. "Only Ads Plan" and "Ads+Posts Integrated", however, will not allow using your website only for file storage. In order to these plans working... #1. I need to install auto-activation software to auto-activate ads accounts. #2. I need to install billing software to bill for paid accounts. #3. I need to get my own bank account (I will have it this Saturday). #4. I need to do one of the following... ... See if my current hosting provider will install an Apache Mod for me so I can make ads auto-appear on hosted sites (not likely) ... Pay for a seperate VPS account so I can install the Apache Mod myself I'm working on it
awesomegamer Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 sounds good well i post alot and i will put ads... what will that come to? because is posting #3 for people like me who post alot? i dont get it and i might even pay some so that would be good too
HerLoss Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 Dunno if this is what you were asking awesomegamer, but what seperates the different posting plans?
awesomegamer Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 yeah im guessing #1 is 0 posts (ads only) or 25 posts (normal) and that #3 is for high posters for myself and you
Ashoat Posted April 12, 2005 Author Posted April 12, 2005 EDIT changed my mind, look up there ^ for more info. (i editted it)
awesomegamer Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 not too bad im past #2 and im likely to get #3 soon
Ashoat Posted April 12, 2005 Author Posted April 12, 2005 Actually, your on #3 already, according to teh stuff. But, I gotta do all the stuff (#1-4) in order to get this working...
awesomegamer Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 wow you sure you should give away that quick? people are gonna eat this site up... or something. make them really earn it. like the top guys here are at least 300 posts, they deserver 750. juast my opinin, but thatnks for a nice offer
Ashoat Posted April 12, 2005 Author Posted April 12, 2005 yeh, but 300 points is 12x of 25 points, which would make the space like... ouch, 1800mb. i donno. it would be easier for people to just get multiple accounts. maybe i should only offer one plan for post hosting? or only two?
GameClaw_268 Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 (edited) about 90% of the people who come here will try to get the best hosting, and only use 2mb of it and only a few megs of bandwidth... so I don't think that will be much of a problem edit: lol, I said ram instead of bandwidth... I need to keep my thoughts strait... Edited April 12, 2005 by Gamemaster_268
eTronicGaming Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 I like it the way you have now.. with ibstore... I can make a system where you can become a member of the site and create your own account... is that what you meant by auto-create accounts? or do you mean something else like you can personally make accounts easily without work when someone uses ibstore?
majazac Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 I liked the plans. Really nice. Any idea of when they'll be available?
Ashoat Posted April 12, 2005 Author Posted April 12, 2005 Once the following is done : #1. Pay for a seperate VPS account so I can install the Apache Mod myself So ultimately, it depends on a lot of things. Probably next month at the earliest.
HerLoss Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 I very much doubt that anyone will ever use the max space of just 150 megs. I know I probobly wont ever get to 50, but with bandwith upgrades its a great system. I might even get a job again and pay. lol.
