paladox2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Share Posted May 5, 2014 hi can I have some help with MySQL please because I have a website on stevie and one on johnny and since the MySQL crash it keeps going so people say johnny MySQL database is stable and works so I would like to temporaly use the database on johnny but I carnt with the websites on stevie. please can I have some help to let me use my website to use the database on johnny. wolstech Posted May 5, 2014 Share Posted May 5, 2014 If you already have an account on Johnny, you can do this by enabling the remote mysql in Johnny's cPanel (enable it for Stevie's IP address). Set your databases up on Johnny, and in your software's configuration use "johnny.heliohost.org" as the host name instead of localhost. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

wolstech Posted May 5, 2014 Share Posted May 5, 2014 Try putting a % in Johnny's Remote Mysql instead of Stevie's IP. Also, it should be obvious, but your database users must exist on Johnny, and will start with your johnny account's name. Same goes for the databases themselves.
