mynight Posted April 9, 2013 Posted April 9, 2013 Hello all. Ive been struggling to use any email clients (Thunderbird,Outlook, windows mail) to connect to the email adresses ive created. For any email accounts other than the main default email i cannot connect whatsoever. With the defualt account i can connect however not send/recieve emails from it. I have tried SSL,POP3 and IMAP conections inputting them manually and using the config files you can download from cpanel to no avail. With the default email I do get an "apparant" connection(cannot recieve) when I then try and send an email I get "0x800ccc0e" error messages. Google search brings me to believe its my antivirus, so I turned it off and firewall yet I am still recieveing the same error message. I also recieve failed logins using any of the inbuilt email clients in cpanel. Yet I know the passwords are correct (have tried changingthem as well just to double check). Is there anything server side that could be preventing me from useing my mail? Any ideas? Thank you for taking the time to read. I hope ive provided enough detail.
Ice IT Support Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Username? Domain? Server? Also, be sure you use the full address (example: username@domain.com).
Ice IT Support Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 What are your current configuration settings?

Krydos Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 Generally the www. part of the domain is just a CNAME that sends browsers to the same place as the main part of your domain, mynightapp.co.uk. For instance, you don't type username@www.gmail.com you just use username@gmail.com. Does the email work when you use mynight@mynightapp.co.uk?
mynight Posted April 10, 2013 Author Posted April 10, 2013 I feel like such a tool. I cannot believe it was so simple. I apolagise for whining. Thank you so much
