Shinryuu Posted March 30, 2013 Share Posted March 30, 2013 Utf8 is supported, latin1 is just the default, we could probably change the default charset to utf8 without breaking anything though. There's a drop-down for setting charsets in fields that are characters/strings and the one you want to choose is utf8_general_ci for utf8. Krydos Posted March 31, 2013 Share Posted March 31, 2013 There are 126 collations in MySQL, only 10 of which are suited for simplified Chinese.http://www.haidongji.com/2007/10/04/character-set-and-collation-for-simplified-chinese-mysql/ utf_general_ci is not one of them.
