smistry01 Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 Hi my default address mail forwarder does not work can someone try theirs please?
Krydos Posted February 4, 2013 Posted February 4, 2013 The default mail address (the one that you don't create but is there the first time you log in) doesn't always work right. The solution is to create a mail account with username@domain.heliohost.org and access that instead.
smistry01 Posted February 5, 2013 Author Posted February 5, 2013 Im not talking about that, I am talking about a feature in cPanel called Default Address if you on it lets you set up a domain so that all unrouted mail goes to an email address. so anything@domain.com goess to my email@mymail.com. This used to work up until sunday.
smistry01 Posted February 5, 2013 Author Posted February 5, 2013 I just checked and I cant recieve mail for any accounts. I used a email response viewer and this was the response 421 Unexpected failure, please try later
Krydos Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Please post the following information:Your cPanel username Your main domain The server that you are on

smistry01 Posted February 6, 2013 Author Posted February 6, 2013 Do you know what the problem is then?
Krydos Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 I just tested it on my Stevie account and it worked fine for me. Is this problem still occurring for you?
smistry01 Posted February 6, 2013 Author Posted February 6, 2013 I can recieve normal emails now but still not mail forwarder. It might be my email (AOL) blocking the mails maybe? What email did you try?
Shinryuu Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 AOL still exists? o_O I hadn't heard anyone mention them in quite some time.
Krydos Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Actually, a couple months ago AOL launched some weird campaign to get all emails from Heliohost blocked or something. The weirdest part of it all was the emails that they were claiming were spam were our account creation emails. The ones that are like "Thank you for signing up Shinryuu your account has now been created and you can log in..." I suppose maybe someone was creating accounts using random @aol.com email addresses, but what are we supposed to do about that? Yeah I was surprised when I heard they still existed too, but I definitely wouldn't be surprised if they are blocking emails from Heliohost.
smistry01 Posted February 7, 2013 Author Posted February 7, 2013 ill try sky or google mail then later.
smistry01 Posted February 7, 2013 Author Posted February 7, 2013 Yes I tested al range of emails, the problem is with AOL thanks for your help
Shinryuu Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 If you'd like, you could probably contact AOL customersupport and see if you can get them to take us off theirblacklist. Or just use one of the dozen free email providersthat don't block us.________________________________________________________ Glad your question got answered!
