eduardoh Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 User: eduardohHeliohost Server: JohnnyDomain: adventureonline.heliohost.org I was using it normally, but it aparently got down unintendedly for overloading resources. I would like, at least, to have my files back, since I was editing them direct on cpanel, and don't have any recent backups. Is that possible?Thank you.
Ice IT Support Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 Your site caused over two hours of downtime on Johnny. I'm sorry, I cannot unsuspend your account.
GLaDOS Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 Ice it support I know this is not my topic but how does one crash a server for over 2 hours?
wolstech Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 How does one crash a server for over 2 hours? This one was a bad perl script abusing the server... http://www.helionet.org/index/topic/14456-solved-johnny-server-down/
GLaDOS Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 Ouch I do believe a wise admin once said "Before deloying scripts on your site test them first".
eduardoh Posted December 27, 2012 Author Posted December 27, 2012 Well, it was never my intention to crash the server, and since I was testing them on my Windows Server, I had to adapt them to run here, so it was a bit complex to test them locally before execution. I would like to have the files back, but since it's not possible.. I'm sorry for any inconvenience, anyway.
