Radel46 Posted December 23, 2012 Posted December 23, 2012 I don't know why my cpanel loads very slow.even if i turn off my kaspersky pure antivirus.
Krydos Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 It's loading as fast as ever for me, and there hasn't been any high load on Stevie today. Could you post a traceroute to the server to rule out network latency?

I don't why the loads speed of johnny cpanel is unstable..sometimes it fast.. sometimes it slow..
Krydos Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 CPanel loads slowly when the server is experiencing high load. Johnny has had high load on and off all day so that definitely explains that.
Radel46 Posted December 24, 2012 Author Posted December 24, 2012 CPanel loads slowly when the server is experiencing high load. Johnny has had high load on and off all day so that definitely explains that. then, what should I do to prevent and avoid me from johnny high load server that can make my webiste and cpanel load fast? I've got a big problem!my website was down!but my cpanel was up!what's happen?http://unknownexperiment97.heliohost.org/ my problem not solved :|should i move to stevie server?--now my cpanel is down
Krydos Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Basically the Johnny server is our more experimental server. That's why there are the all the warnings on the creation page.Johnny offers the full Heliohost feature set. While this may sometimes lead to instability, it allows HelioHost to isolate such instability to the customers that need it.And we also put the server uptime right there too, which Stevie is currently 99.93% uptime, and Johnny is 89% uptime. Before we had Johnny available Stevie was just as unstable as Johnny is now, but by buying another server we can have one fast server that focuses on uptime and stability and another server that focuses on offering all available services no matter the consequences. It should also be noted that users on Stevie have a much higher chance of being suspended because if one account is hogging all the resources it slows everything down for everyone else. On Johnny you're allowed a lot more leniency and only the most severe cases get suspended. If you decide you want to move to Stevie here are the instructions. http://wiki.helionet.org/Moving_your_account
Shinryuu Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Should also note that if your site requires ASP, JSP, or RoR you're stuck, unless you go for paid hosting, which depending on the range of services offered could be as-bad/worse than us. If you do static HTML/CSS or script with CGI, PHP or Perl then by all means flip servers.
Radel46 Posted December 25, 2012 Author Posted December 25, 2012 Man.. absolutely i need those stuff, but i don't want to see my website and my cpanel down like a nightmare :(/&--#62;-------------------------my problem not solved! :|
Krydos Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 my problem not solved! :|Don't know what else to tell you then. Djbob (one of the administrators) has a trip planned to perform a hardware upgrade that should help reduce the load the next time he's in the same state as the servers. Some days on Johnny are better than others. It all just depends on how much load everyone is causing.

Shinryuu Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 If your site will work fine on Stevie just switch and never worry about Johnny.
