Intel, especially for their HT junk. I can't stand AMD (too many autoself-restarts) and most of the other processors don't even stand to the power of the P4.

I voted Intel because their CPUs are fast and reliable (when compared with AMD)

I'm thinkin Intel is better even tho I have an AMD processor.

amd's are nice because for the same price, you get a less energy consuming and 64bit supporting processor. only down is the reliability and multitasking is not as good (intel has HyperThreading). But for gaming, it's proven that amd 64's are better than pentium 4's

Well, they are built for different purposes. If you want something for gaming, then you need something like the Intel Itanium processor.

im comparing in the same range of performance, not like xeon vs XP type of comparison.

That's what I was doing too. But still, the Xeon is a better value no matter what. I mean, sure the Athlon XP is made as an inexpensive everyday processor for such tasks as word processing and email. But with the Xeon, you can do all sorts of stuff.

iv always been using intel, but i have heard amd is mainly for gaming pc
