Kyougi Posted May 22, 2005 Posted May 22, 2005 Intel, especially for their HT junk. I can't stand AMD (too many autoself-restarts) and most of the other processors don't even stand to the power of the P4. Quote
GameClaw_268 Posted May 22, 2005 Posted May 22, 2005 I voted intel a while ago, but after hearing about what the PS3 can do, I think I might have to change to sony Quote
dorkkoon Posted May 26, 2005 Posted May 26, 2005 I voted Intel because their CPUs are fast and reliable (when compared with AMD) I fully agree with you...and I vote for Intel as well... Quote
Ruze Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 I'm thinkin Intel is better even tho I have an AMD processor. Quote
myscrnnm II Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 On my PC I have a AMD Processor. Athlon XP? Athlon 64? Turion 64? Sempron? Duron? et cetera? Quote
amhso Posted November 11, 2005 Posted November 11, 2005 amd's are nice because for the same price, you get a less energy consuming and 64bit supporting processor. only down is the reliability and multitasking is not as good (intel has HyperThreading). But for gaming, it's proven that amd 64's are better than pentium 4's Quote
myscrnnm II Posted November 13, 2005 Posted November 13, 2005 But for gaming, it's proven that amd 64's are better than pentium 4's Well, they are built for different purposes. If you want something for gaming, then you need something like the Intel Itanium processor. Quote
amhso Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 im comparing in the same range of performance, not like xeon vs XP type of comparison. Quote
myscrnnm II Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 im comparing in the same range of performance, not like xeon vs XP type of comparison. That's what I was doing too. But still, the Xeon is a better value no matter what. I mean, sure the Athlon XP is made as an inexpensive everyday processor for such tasks as word processing and email. But with the Xeon, you can do all sorts of stuff. Quote
kikass Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 iv always been using intel, but i have heard amd is mainly for gaming pc Quote
