I created a sub domain http://sl.irishsecure.com and received an account not ready notice. Is this usual that a sub domain takes 24 hours to become active? Just so I know. Thanks. Advice to me?

Yes, all new domains including new accounts, new parked domains, new addon domains, and in your case new sub domains can show queued for up to 24 hours. This is normal.
