Well, since you won't provide any specifics I can't provide a specific answer, but in general to forward emails you follow this procedure:

  1. Log into your heliohost account at http://heliohost.org/
  2. Click the button labeled "Email Accounts".
  3. Locate the email address you want to forward from, and click more.
  4. Click "Access Webmail" from the drop down menu.
  5. Type in the password for that email account, and press enter to log in.
  6. Click "Forwarding Options".
  7. Click "Add Forwarder".
  8. Type in the email address to want to forward all mail to, and click "Add Forwarder".

There are faster ways to get to that same screen, but the steps above will work for both servers.

Krydos, check your mail please, thanks.

I do check my mail; probably twenty times a day.

If you're referring to checking my mail to see if the above process works, then yes I have tested it and it does work.

If you're referring to an email you sent me regarding Heliohost support, unfortunately Heliohost does not have an official email support system. We recommend posting here in the forums to receive the quickest and most efficient support for your Heliohost account. Our official IRC channel is also a good place to post, but be aware that there isnt going to be a volunteer online 24 hours a day to help you via chat. Any other method to contact the Heliohost staff is not official and at best your experience will likely be slow and inconsistent.

Yeah, PMs on Helionet fall under the category of "not official and at best your experience will likely be slow and inconsistent". You're welcome to send PMs I suppose, but I rarely check them and I know a lot of the other admins don't provide support through PM either.

Anyways, most people go to great lengths and spend gobtons of money to publicize their domains to generate more traffic to their sites so I'm a little confused why you don't want the added boost that posting your domain on our well-trafficked forum would create, but whatever you say.

I have not been sucessful in forwarding mail, my account is ______ on helionet, my domain is ________, which I get through godaddy and I'm on stevies server.

Use this link then http://stevie.helioh...ail/addfwd.html type in the address you want to forward, type in your gmail account that you want to forward to. It's that simple.

I want my mail to go directly to my gmailaddress without staying in the inbox at helionet.

If you click the advanced options you can see that there is an option to discard the local copy of the mail. I don't really see why it matters if there is a copy saved in both mailboxes, but if you check that option it won't keep the mail in your Heliohost email box. Like it says in cPanel though, this option is not recommended because you could end up losing emails.

I dont seem to be getting the mail to even go to my gmail, I have tried your instructions, but still I'm unsucessful in this matter.

You must have it set up wrong then because it works for me. You could also check your gmail settings to make sure that the emails aren't getting deleted by a filter or placed in your spam folder or something.

And another thing while we are at this, I want the subdomain ___._______ to link to my main site _______ and mask the adress bar, how do I do this in the simplest way? this while having in mind that my domain is now managed through heionet and not through godaddy.

This is completely unrelated to your other question and you should probably create a separate thread for it, but I think what you're asking is not to create a subdomain, but rather create a CNAME record that points to your main site.
