  1. Hello Admins,

Very excited about this service, thank you!

I recently parked a domain with your service, alteragenda.com . I set up the dns settings with ns2.heliohost.org and ns1.heliohost.org . The parked domain is not showing up in the list and the status is 0/00 . When I try to add it again it states that it is already added.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks again,

    Max

    Hi Max,

I'm having the same problem at the moment, both of my domains show they're removed (I did not remove them) and when I try to re-add them it shows they've already been configured. My post: http://www.helionet.org/index/index.php?showtopic=3975 .

Only Djbob can figure this out, I tried everything I could to fix the problem myself but there doesn't seem like anything can be done. I've been waiting about 2 days now, and could've easily left the host by now but it just seems like such a good host with tons of good features so just wait a bit, I'm sure someone will reply shortly. They can't ignore us forever!

  2. Note: I edited this post since I figured out some stuff already.

I figured out that I have a domain error. My subdomains are fine, but it shows my 2 domains having been deleted.

    The two domains I have added are: myunv.co.cc , unvimg.co.cc .

When you go on any of them, the "Success Apache" page comes up. I have all of the domains pointed to the right file directory and the index files are all there. They are "index.php" files.

When I try to re-add the domains, I get an error message saying "Error from park wrapper: myunv.co.cc is already configured." I cannot delete the domain because it shows "No Addon Domains are configured."

Can you please figure this out? All the domains have the dns pointed to both of your name servers.

  3. Wow I really hate hackers I know this is old news to everyone probably but I'm new and this host is really awesome so far, I'm still setting up my site actually.

Glad to have HelioHost back and I really like their new look although I don't know what their old look was like. Anyone have any screenshots of the old HelioHost?

  4. ... but can you see where on the site you happen to be in the address bar?

Sometimes that's not the case if you're using framesets/frames and link pages that have a target of "_self," to the frame, or none at all. I'm really excited about using co.cc domains cause my domain right now is owned by someone else and I want to be more secure and use my own. Also I've been using co.nr for a while now which has been great since I can link my pages with it, but I can't link my files and it doesn't have DNS meaning there's a big cloaking frameset.

  5. When I type in the URL name of my heliohost site, I always get a 403 error (You don't have permission to access / on this server). However, directing a browser to my dedicated IP address brings up the site correctly.

Have you tried editing your subdomain to point to your IP address somehow? I don't know much about this, but I have seen it on the co.nr free domain site where you have to point it towards your IP so your files are visible through the domain. Sorry if I'm not being very detailed here, I usually just edit my site right on the host.

If this doesn't work, let's just hope one of the admins answers this soon.

  6. Mine is www.myunv.com and at the moment, it's not hosted by HelioHost yet. I'm still moving all the files and setting up my subdomains.

Oh and for all of those using the heliohost.org subdomain, I really suggest you get the co.cc free domain service and set that up for your site because then you get the features of a full domain such as subdomains and email. It also looks a lot better.
