I think that Apple's Mac is much better than Windows Vista. But the real problem started when I went through a few forums and found out that mac doesn't run on just any pc. It works on apple's computers and laptops only. Is it true? If yes then , I will have to wait till I save enough to get it.

The only thing they do is that they change the color of the windows, change the start menu and you have small programs such as object dock, Yz toolbar etc installed. Vista is much better in the looks if you ask me but this is also quite nice(though not comparable to vista) and the main thing is that you won't have to throw lots of money like you have to when you get windows vista.

I had vista but then uninstalled it. First it was really happy to have such a neat interface and theme and especially using the aero theme to switch between windows (thats amazing) and the dreamscene wallpapers. Then when I actually started using the computer for graphic designing via photoshop, my pc became really slow. My computer has 512 ram only and right now I would not be able to use vista (and there are some bugs in it as well). Now I'm using xp again which is fulfilling all my needs (not in the looks though but at least its working quickly).

I would just advise you to get vista in about 6 or 12 months when most of the bugs in it are fixed.

It isn't working using the ftp server program. Is there any other way of doing it?

And does anyone know where I could get a free control panel for users of my website if I'm providing them hosting.

Actually if you really want to know, ask.com updates the results themselves checking out each website status, if it is trustworthy and accurate. It is to be used more like a question search engine than a keywords search engine as it is built that way. So if you want to surely open trusted and accurate websites then you should use ask.com(but only has a few as they update the list themselves).

I think that https is only for websites that have security and that can be trusted like paypal etc. I'm not sure though. Why do you need https anyways, http is just fine for a personal webpage.

I do not think that all the results from google will give us proper results because it will also be hard for google to find out if each freebie site actually delivers the prizes to the users as told. I prefer that you consult at least one forum before making any effort of completing any offers in a freebie site.

I'm not telling you to just go to a website you find about winning stuff and sign up to it. First you should check if they're trustworthy and if they would really send us the prizes by surfing and reading comments on forums and blogs. Once you are sure that it really does give you prizes just signup and start completing offers.

I'm using a simple version of linux, ubuntu. It is quite easy to use and I mainly keep it as a backup os, the actual one that I use being Windows Xp. I first decided to stick with linux and uninstall xp but then after going through a few websites found out that they're really less software available for linux. The best feature is its speed and security and it never gave me any problem since my first use. If you have no idea of how to use linux, then you should get the ubuntu distribution of it as it is really easy to learn how to use it and it is free to download. If you have limited space then [bleeped!] small linux will be the one (but you will have to buy the os).

I won't completely agree to that. Some offers just require you to signup to a newsletter or a website account. That website will be paying the site for all signups due to that freebies website a lot more than the price they pay to give us the gifts or money. Suppose you have to complete 100 free offers to get $100 in cash and the ads website will be paying the freebie site $2 per signup that happens due to them then they'll still make a profit of $100. In this case, the freebie website is happy as it makes a profit of $100, we are happy as we get $100 and the ads website is happy as they get more members.

I think that IGN cheats are the best and www.cheatplanet.com and www.cheatcodes.com are quite good as well. And one more thing www.cheatoogle.com is the search engine for cheats which doesn't have cheats of its own but tells you the sites you should visit to get the cheats for specific games. If you do not know any good websites then you should search on cheatoogle.com otherwise just go on the cheats website you know.

I would go for the wii because it is quite cheap and has quite nice features as well. I would have chosen the playstation 3 but it is too expensive and it came out so late so they are only a few games out for the ps3. Within some time it the price will probably go down and more games will come out. Then I would buy the ps3.

I don't want to reveal the actual directory of the files and this script only recognizes the page through the last words in the url. For example, if my file url is http://www.mydomain.com/secretfiles/direct...nt/register.php

Then I can make a script which knows to show the folders and files in this directory.I will store "www.mydomain.com/secretfiles/directory/account/" in the php script so whenever someone opens this : http://www.mydomain.com/account.php?page=register the register.php page will open.

You also have the option of creating your own server. All you need is a fast internet connection and a computer that runs for the whole day. You can then install apache server and register your subdomain for your server for free at http://www.dyndns.org. If your ip address keeps on changing then you can install dyndns updater from the same site and it will keep on updating your ip info in their database.

You can also create your own server and install a proxy script on it and restrict other people to access by a username and a password. So you can just access your own server at school by giving the username and password and then you can sit on youtube. And remember not to put anything on the website that shows that your server has a proxy script installed, just put games stuff all over the page and put a textbox somewhere in the middle so no one actually figures it out.

Does that mean that anyone can increase the file size limit just by changing it in the php.ini file in their account? There must be another way to set a file size limit which is more secure.

I just read an article about how powerful google's web search is. People use it to search for files in a webserver that are whose url is not given/shown (basically stuff the webmasters want to hide). For e.g if your website has three files index.html, hidden.html, shown.html and a link of shown.html is put on index.html. So basically a person can not find out that there is a file named hidden.html that exists. But google's websearch is so effective that it even shows hidden.html as a search result.

Well, I find youtube\'s videos great and using the search feature in youtube isn\'t that bad. I wanted to watch harry potter and the order of pheonix\'s trailer and yugioh episode 6 and I found both of them on youtube really easily. I think youtube is the best website for watching videos online.
