What came first the chicken or the egg?
raymond01 replied to jonline's topic in Philosophy, Politics, and Science
if you take religion without evolution god created adult male and female and as far as i know adult animals so the chicken came first since an adult animal was created. if you take evolution without religion than i do not know. because i do not know how the chicken evolved. but i would say the chicken because i can not figure out how an egg would survive long enough to be a chicken. -
Morality - Taught Or Inbuilt ?
raymond01 replied to Brother Hassan's topic in Philosophy, Politics, and Science
morality is taught. the only instinct is survival of the species (which is done thru reproduction). the question is now is what does 'survival of the species' involve? love as opposed to lust for sex? self-defense as opposed to murder and other forms of violence? stealing for self-preservation (shelter, food) as opposed to stealing for want/greed? sharing if you more than you need as opposed to hoarding? i believe that we could survive as a species better if we took the first option in each of the above instead of the second. but if we did then we would probably not need self-defense and stealing. -
That is what I thought. But the tech support at my registrar said that I would not have to - they would resolve the address. So I thought that I would give it a try. Don't know have to mark as solved.

user: domainfw server: stevie sub-domain: domainfwd Used to have to the domains 'miskura.com' and 'raymond-miskura.com' parked at heliohost. Removed them from heliohost, changed the nameservers back to my registrar and put a cname on my registrar to: hostname www IP ADDRESS/ URL domainfwd.heliohost.org. (yes, there is a dot at the end) RECORD TYPE cname (alias) MX PREF n/a TTL 1800 It has been over 48 hours and I still get the heliohost parked page. If I change the cname to a url redirect it works. Looked at cpanel and can not find any reference to those domains. Just to see what would happen I tried adding them as parked domains again and got the error "Sorry, the domain is already pointed to an IP address that does not appear to use DNS servers associated with this server" which is what I expected because the nameservers are not pointing to heliohost. (note: I do not want them to be pointing to heliohost). Yes, I have deleted my cache, tried different browsers, and different pc. Any help in finding out why it is still going to the parked page using the cname would be appreciated.

[Solved] Cannot Send Emails To Gmx.com/gmx.de

I used the cPanel 'Set Default Address' to forward all mail to an email address. It works if I use a Gmail or Yahoo Mail address but if I use a GMX.com email address it comes back with the following error (edited so that email address have ?) The email was sent from Yahoo to my domain on Heliohost and the forward to address is at Gmx.com This message was created automatically by mail delivery software. A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed: ????@gmx.com (generated from ???@merrie-love-wollstoncraft.com) SMTP error from remote mail server after initial connection: host mx00.gmx.net [213.165.67.99]: 421 gmx.net (mxgmx004) Nemesis ESMTP Service not available: retry timeout exceeded ------ This is a copy of the message, including all the headers. ------ Return-path: &--#60;???@yahoo.com&--#62; Received: from nm35-vm8.bullet.mail.bf1.yahoo.com ([72.30.239.58]) by stevie.heliohost.org with esmtps (TLSv1:AES256-SHA:256) (Exim 4.69) (envelope-from &--#60;???@yahoo.com&--#62;) id 1VUp0Z-0002eS-St for ???@merrie-love-wollstoncraft.com; Fri, 11 Oct 2013 19:32:23 -0700 Could you tell me why GMX.com is rejecting my email. login: domainfw heliohost: domainfwd server: stevie -
I don't know how it did it but I have a question. If you type in the domain only the default page will show. If all the pages were blank I guess that there were no links on the pages. So how did he go from page to page? If the title of the page (I assume what is between the title tags) was showing up did you do a view source to see if there was code there? And to see if it was modified. My guess is that somehow he tricked your browser into not displaying the body of the page and did not change your site.

Got the following responses in response to filling out the form in the above link. This mail is to confirm that the IP(s) listed below are being investigated by our automated system. Please note that your ticket number is in the subject line of this mail. 65.19.143.2 Note: Errors are unlikely, however, if an error is indicated, please resubmit the specific IP or IP range. Thank you, Hotmail Deliverability Support Service We have completed reviewing the IP(s) you submitted. The following table contains the results of our investigation. No action taken 65.19.143.2 The system found that the reported IP(s) are not eligible for automatic mitigation. To have Deliverability Support investigate, use the following link to provide additional information and an agent will contact you via email. https://support.msn.com/default.aspx?productkey=edfsesc&mkt=en-us. Regardless of the deliverability status, Hotmail recommends that all senders join two free programs that provide visibility into the Hotmail traffic on your sending IP(s), the sending IP reputation with Hotmail and the Hotmail user complaint rates. Junk Email Reporting program (JMRP) When a Hotmail user marks an email as "junk", senders enrolled in this program get a copy of the mail forwarded to an address of their choice. It allows you to see which mails are being marked as junk and identify mail traffic you did not intend to send. To join, please visit http://support.msn.com/eform.aspx?productKey=edfsjmrpp&page=support_home _options_form_byemail&ct=eformts. Smart Network Data Services program (SNDS) This program allows you to monitor the ‘health’ and reputation of your registered IPs by providing data about traffic such as mail volume and complaint rates seen originating from your IPs. To register, please visit http://postmaster.msn.com/snds/. There is no silver bullet to maintaining or improving good IP reputation, but these programs help you proactively manage your email eco-system to help better ensure deliverability to Hotmail users. Today I got an email saying that I my account has been suspended for inactivity because I have not logged on since 12/02/12. I know that I have logged into this form during December. Made a post on 12/12/12. http://www.helionet....6574#entry86574 I thought that logging into the forum counted towards your monthly login. If so, maybe my forum account is not connected to my domain account. I logged into cpanel, but that does not tell me when the last time I logged in, but I thought that I logged in after 12/02/12. If somebody gets the time would they check if I logged into cpanel during December. Filled out the form from the link in the email and everything appears to be ok, can access cpanel, website and ftp. Did not check anything before filling out the form. Server: stevie Domain: domainfwd Cpanel: domainfw Forum: raymond01

Why do you need more than 500 MB?

I am running PHPBB3 on stevie using Gmail for sending mail and these are the setting I use. The board is not that active, only a few a day, and have not tried to send a mass-email yet, which would be more than 50. These are the settings I use if you want to try to set yours up. E-mail settings Enable board-wide e-mails: yes Users send e-mail via board: yes E-mail function name: mail E-mail package size: 5 Contact e-mail address: -- gmail email address -- Return e-mail address: -- gmail email address -- SMTP settings Use SMTP server for e-mail: yes SMTP server address: tls://smtp.gmail.com Authentication method for SMTP: plain SMTP username: -- gmail email address -- SMTP password: -- gmail password --

I am running the phpbBB bulletin board on Stevie and the email settings is set up to send using my Gmail account. (from phpBB) "Use SMTP server for e-mail: Select “Yes” if you want or have to send e-mail via a named server instead of the local mail function." It is sending the emails out using Gmail, but when I look a the email headers I see this: Received: from stevie.heliohost.org (stevie.heliohost.org. [65.19.143.2]) by mx.google.com with ESMTPS id x8sm1326940paw.16.2012.10.02.15.10.02 (version=SSLv3 cipher=OTHER); Tue, 02 Oct 2012 15:10:03 -0700 (PDT) I believe the limit on sending emails is 50/day. If I use the mass email function in phpBB, which will send an email to all users, it will be more than 50/day. Since it appears to be still passing thru your severs, would my account be suspended for sending out too many emails per day?

PHP mail() problem I have a form on my site that I thought worked at one time, but does not now. Tried it on another host and it works. (same version of PHP) Also if somebody tries to send me an email at domainfw@domainfwd.heliohost.org, or any address at my domain, it does not get to the address that I forwarded it to and tried webmail thru Cpanel but don't see it there either. I have set the 'Default Address Maintenance' to 'Send all unrouted email for:' domainfwd.heliohost.org to a GMX.com address. I have not changed any MX records for domainfwd.heliohost.org. I have been testing the form, possibly sending out bad email. Is it possible that somehow I have been banned from receiving/sending email because of this? Or maybe I have something misconfigured in Cpanel? I am on stevie. domain: domainfwd.heliohost.org username: domainfw

Changed so it uses Google Apps MX records.

Problem has been solved. See above topic.

Problem with forwarding my email to a Gmail account in Cpanel. I can forward it to GMX.com and it gets there within seconds, Gmail takes a couple of days. This is the error message I get: This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification THIS IS A WARNING MESSAGE ONLY. YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESEND YOUR MESSAGE. Delivery to the following recipient has been delayed: ---@----.com (NOTE: I commented out the real email address) Message will be retried for 2 more day(s) Technical details of temporary failure: Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 454 454 TLS currently unavailable (state 9). Looking up the error I found these --- Would somebody take a look and see it this is the cause of the delays. Thank You Raymond ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ http://help.directadmin.com/item.php?id=376 I'm not getting email from gmail Last Modified: Jul 6, 2011, 12:35 pm As of mid-2011, gmail moved to using TLS more exlusively, where available (we're assuming, based on recent support requests). On many DA boxes, the /etc/exim.cert and /etc/exim.key files are not correctly setup, either permission or ownerhship, causing an error similar to: (SSL_CTX_use_PrivateKey_file file=/etc/exim.key): error:0200100D:system library:fopen:Permission denied in your /var/log/exim/mainlog. The above error would be a non-readable key by "mail", other cases are caused by empty exim.cert or exim.key files. The solution is to ensure your exim.cert and exim.key are both readable by "mail" and have data in them. You can use this guide to ensure they're set correctly. Other related error messages from google: Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain.
