  1. A few days ago I've received an email from heliohost regarding account renewal.

I've followed the login link right away and logged in successfully to my account.

I've used the link provided by the email to login

    https://www.heliohost.org/renew/

Yet today my account was suspected for being inactive.

I've managed to unsuspend the account myself but you might take a look at the login monitor as it didn't counted my login.

  2. Hello :)

I've seen on the News section that you gave away the double storage for donors.

I didn't got mine though. I've manually donated a day after it was closed on the fund website.

I've mentioned it on the related gofund topic.

    It's deny @ tommy

    Thanks :)

  3. Moving so Krydos can get this installed for you.

PS: I've seen another recent topic that it defaults the external mail through the generic server IP.

Could you please make sure the dedicated IP is used for external mail, just in case?

Correct. Mail sometimes uses 65.19.143.6 by default...

    Thank you wolstech :)

@Krydos, when you do this, a PTR record pointing @ my main domain will be highly appreciated :)

  4. Hello,

I've sent a paypal payment for a dedicated IP on Tommy plus an amount for donation:

  5.

If cpanel is not getting updated, how security patches are applied for it?

They're not. We do install the Centos updates though. If we installed the cpanel uplates as they intended, this service wouldn't function. Cpanel is only meant to handle a few hundred accounts per server. We've customized it to the extent that got 10,000 accounts out of 10 year old hardware...(Johnny), and it's actually stable, provided someone is not abusing the service.

Cpanel's own support has even recognized us as one of their most extreme use cases for what we've managed to do with it. Based on their design guidelines, we should have about 20 servers (they recommend about 400 accounts/server). We have 3.

I was stupid enough to wipe my mobile right after enabling 2factor without first creating backup.

Is possible to remove it for me wolstech? :(

    deny @ tommy

I enabled two-factor authentication on Tommy. I actually thought it was enabled already. Not sure why it would be off by default.

    Edit:

    I can't see it under "password & security"  :(
It has its own page under Security on the cpanel home page. It's right near the SSL options.

    I saw It. Thanks :D

Our custom stuff modifies a bunch of cPanel files and scripts so releases of theirs that reinstall or updates most/all files in cpanel will break the service.

Does the LTS version update/replace fewer files per release, or does it still do a mass file replacement every time, but make fewer changes/enhancements? If it only patches a few files here and there as opposed to basically reinstalling it during update, it may be something we could consider for future servers.

Well we're getting really off-topic here but I can't resist to ask.

If cpanel is not getting updated, how security patches are applied for it?

I mean cpanel has access throughout the whole system should't it be always patched?

  7. Hello there :)

I went and read random topics on the news section and realized that anyone who has donated for the tommy NAS will have double space to his account.

I'v missed that when I donated for the above purpose.

Is possible to get the double space too?

    deny @ tommy.

    Thanks :D

  8. It can only be turned off by an admin (though honestly, none of us have ever understood why people want the aggrevation of manually renewing...LE vs Comodo is a moot argument since both are accepted everywhere).

    Is that what you want?

It's mostly psychological (OCD Perhaps? :P).

    Being in control of stuff.

    Yes, please :)

  9. Hello,

I currently use a simple certificate/private key combination issued by zerossl for my domain.

Thing is, Cpanel AutoSSL replaces my certificate/key with it's own combination without asking or anything.

Can AutoSSL configured to just auto-renew the certificate from zerossl and not replace my key?

If not, how can I disable the AutoSSL function for my account?

    deny @ tommy server.

    Thanks :)

  10. @Krydos

I've missed the GoFundMe thing (haven't visited the site for some time) but I made a manual donation for the purpose:

    8RL5390666406105B

  11. I've made two donations this year
    17A12603J8397563C
    4UK54781147263021

and I had an account on Tommy. However I deleted it since I thought I would not need it anymore.

Do my donations still count to request transfer to Tommy with my username "deny"?

    If not I'll donate again.

    Thank you :)

PS: I've signed up on Johnny and didn't want to bring this up but it's disturbingly slow and even not responsive sometimes.

  12. I've created an account on Johnny using the username deny.

Thing is, and I'm not talking about the queue, the actual account itself (aka the login to c panel) is taking way too long.

I entered manually the Johnny cpanel address and used "lost password" just to check and then weird thing is that the email hint shown up is totally different from my email.

So I guess something weird is going on.

    Never mind.

    Solved

  13. I've had this happen before. The server says one folder is required, but your client goes looking for the other and creates it when it doesn't exist. End result is two that are effectively impossible to delete...server always creates one, client always creates the other.

Solution for me was to use a different mail client, though some clients might let you set the junk/spam folder's name in the client so it uses the folder name the server expects it to use.

Is possible to symlink the one to the other through cpanel?
