Dear support team, In Plesk, I have this warning text on top of every individual e-mail that has been setup in my account: "Warning: The limit on outgoing messages for an email address (10) cannot be greater than the limit for a subscription (0)." I did try to figure out what this means and how to resolve it myself. The more in researched this, the stranger it became. Maybe there is a fault in Plesk's configuration? When I go to Plesk' 'Outgoing Mail Control'', I see this overview: Email addresses: No attempts to exceed limits Domains : No attempts to exceed limits Subscriptions : 1 subscriptions exceed limits To my astonishment, my vvenet.heliohost.us has the following reading: Limit per hour: 0 Attempts after Reaching the Limit: 4767 Last attempt: Oct 2, 2024, 02.00PM Mail Status: Sending When I zoom in this by checking Outgoing Mail Control of vvenet.heliohost.us, I discover that Attempts after Reaching the Limit over a one month period are 3113 and that it started on September 30. The strange thing is that I am not sending e-mail from vvenet.heliohost.us. Furthermore, I have no idea what & why this is happening. I assume that there is a setup fault at Plesk. Can you please investigate and restore my 'subscription' ? Kind regards

Thank you dear @wolstech and @Ookma-Kyi. All works well now. ?

Thank you for your kind assistance. As you probably know, Plesk has a default value for e-mail size. Plesk however also allows individual settings for accounts (and the domains stored in that account). As a safeguard, HelioHost has already set cpu load and since e-mail size can be determined on individual accounts (and its stored domains), the chance of abuse is quite limited. ? https://www.plesk.com/kb/support/unable-to-send-receive-emails-on-a-plesk-server-message-size-exceeds-server-limit/

Thank you for your kind proposal. However, that is not always an option. For multiple reason like professional representation. Also the main e-mail providers like Google, Microsoft, Apple allow e-mails of the size between 20Mb and 50Mb. So it also looks a bit strange if one has to send attachemnts seperately by file sharing services. And by the way, also incoming e-mails with larger attachments (still under 20Mb) are bounced, so they are not received by me. In Plesk, Heliohost has set a limit of the amount of e-mails to be send out (10/hour). In Plesk it is also possible to set a size limit for incoming and outgoing e-mails (up to 75Mb). However, this has to be done by Heliohost/admin.
-
Dear support team, can you please enlarge the size limit of my incoming and outgoing e-mails? Occaisionally I have to send a few e-mails with larger files in one e-mail. The e-mail itself will not be larger than 25Mb. And it will be only be for a few recipients. Just today I found out there is a kind of limit on the e-mail size for incoming and outgoing e-mail when is passes Heliohost's MX server. This limit is way under 20Mb. So the two e-mails I was trying to send were bounced back by Heliohost, stating "552 5.3.4 Error: message file too big". Incoming e-mails are also refused. The sender gets this message: "552 5.3.4 Message size exceeds fixed limit". The bad things is that I even am not aware someone is sending me an e-mail (with a larger attachment). Only after they contact me, thet inform me that they get the 552 5.3.4 error message. Can you please increase the file size of incoming and outgoing e-mails in my account to 20Mb or 50Mb? Since this option is not in my Plesk control panel, the admin has to do this. https://www.plesk.com/kb/support/unable-to-send-receive-emails-on-a-plesk-server-message-size-exceeds-server-limit/ Thank you ? and kind regards.

Dear @wolstech, thank you so much for your assistance. Mail-tester gave all configured e-mail addresses a 10/10, so that is good, including the long DKIM keys. I did however find a problem, "Servererror 550 5.1.1 e-mail unknown in virtual mailbox table". But solved it myself ==> https://talk.plesk.com/threads/5-1-1-recipient-address-rejected-user-unknown-in-virtual-mailbox-table.341956/ . I will give you a sign when the other domains are ready to be configured on your DNS. Kind regards! ?

Dear @wolstech, two domains are ready. I already sent a request for adding them on your DNS last Fridau no response yet. So I now try it here by replying to your proposal to give a sign. :-). The domains are: - hcdirven.nl - 2btc.nl Can you please be so kind to set the following values for them: SPF: "v=spf1 ip4:64.62.151.106 ip6:2001:470:1:1ee::2009 include:smtp.spf.ziggo.nl ~all" DKIM: Plesk value, activated on the corresponding domain DMARC: default value, activated on the corresponding domain Please confirm when these settings on Heliohost’s DNS have been applied. Thank you very much! ?

Dear Support Team, I have just pointed two domains in my account to ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org. The domains are: hcdirven.nl 2btc.nl Can you please be so kind to set the following values for them: SPF: "v=spf1 ip4:64.62.151.106 ip6:2001:470:1:1ee::2009 include:smtp.spf.ziggo.nl ~all" DKIM: Plesk value, activated on the corresponding domain DMARC: default value, activated on the corresponding domain Please confirm when these settings on Heliohost’s DNS have been applied. Thank you very much! ?

Thank you dear support team. Indeed, I just checked and all is back again. ? If I may take this opportunity to ask two other questions. If I understand correctly the tommy server is less busy (and maybe more stable?). 1) What do I have to do, to have my account being moved from Johnny server to Tommy server? 2) Is the regime of logging in once every 30 days into my account, also applicable for Tommy server? Kind regards,

Hello, I am in the process of setting up my domains. I prefer to already setup email. This worked fine with the first domain I have setup. Now I want to configure the remaining domains. I just found out that with all domains in my account (also the one that has already been setup and working fine), the option "Mail Settings" in Pleask has disappeared. Now I can not enable or modify mail-settings, DKIM etcetera. Please see the attached example-graphics I found on the internet about the "Mail Settings" option in Plesk. Or the Plesk url: https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/obsidian/customer-guide/mail-settings/mail-settings-of-domains.73389/ What happened. And can this be restored please? Kind regards.

Dear Wolstech, thank you for your message. Yes you are correct. One domain has already been setup. I have planned to move the other domains in my account to your DNS ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org this coming week, starting from tomorrow. So instead of asking you each time seperately, I thought it would be convenient to ask it to you in one request. I understand it is a bit time consuming on your part, since direct DNS control by individual users like me is not implemented yet, but I rather stay on your DNS (heliohost.org). So can you please be so kind to configure the other domains in my account as requested above? That would be appreciated very much. ? Thank you so much for patience and understaning.

Dear support team, can you please have a look at my request of last Thrusday? Thank you. ?

Dear support team, I am in the process of setting up the domains in my account. Step-by-step. Just to make things easier, is it possible for you to setup on all my domains in my account, the following DNS settings in one time? SPF: "v=spf1 ip4:64.62.151.106 ip6:2001:470:1:1ee::2009 include:smtp.spf.ziggo.nl ~all" DKIM: Plesk value, activated on all domains. DMARC: default value, activated on all domains Reason: 1) I won’t have to ask you each time when I setup an individual domain. Saves time for both of us. ? 2) To keep downtime for e-mail as short as possible the moment I switch from my current DNS host to your DNS ns1.heliohost.org + ns2.heliohost.org, since everything has already been configured. Is that possible? Thank you again.

Dear supporteam, While I was setting up my e-mail configuraytion in Outlook. I got it working but very strangly. SMTP you state "To send messages via SMTP securely, use port 465."I normally always set the security to "Automatic" (other choices are; none, TLS, SSL). By setting it to automatic, it did not sent out e-mails. Only by setting it manually to "SSL" it sends out e-mail. Question 1: why does "Automatic" not work here? I did run a test on mail-tester.com. I got 10/10. Good. But one issue bothers me that got a yellow flag: "You're not fully authenticated" ==> "Your reverse DNS does not match with your sending domain." Further explaination: "Reverse DNS lookup or reverse DNS resolution (rDNS) is the determination of a domain name that is associated with a given IP address. Some companies such as AOL will reject any message sent from a server without rDNS, so you must ensure that you have one. You cannot associate more than one domain name with a single IP address." Question2: can this be fixed and why is this a "yellow flag/warning"? Kind regards. ?

Dear support team, can you please add two domains to my account: - hcdirven.nl - westertoren.nl Thank you very much. ?

Thank you so much for updating. Can you please add the spf values of Ziggo too (my Dutch provider)? "v=spf1 ip4:64.62.151.106 ip6:2001:470:1:1ee::2009 include:smtp.spf.ziggo.nl ~all" In some cases it is very practical for me and it saves me time for making an alias e-mail each time on Plesk. I can do it quickly in Outlook in case I need to send an e-mail through the mx-server of Ziggo but with "stichtingdecitadel.nl" as the sender. Since the domain name itself is hosted on Heliohost, there will always be a sfp query on the mx-server at Heliohost even if the outbound e-mail is send through the mx-server of Ziggo. Thank you. ?

User vvenet. Dear support, from PLESK's interface, I activated DKIM for the domain stichtingdecitadel.nl. After 72 hours the DKIM value has not been propagated (using https://www.mail-tester.com/spf-dkim-check). I read on this forum that the final DKIM record value activation has to be done by you (administrator). I therefore kindly request activation of dkim, spf and dmarc for the domain stichtingdecitadel.nl as followed: - DKIM: following the value provided by Plesk - SPF: v=spf1 a mx ip4:65.19.141.66 ip4:65.19.141.77 ip4:65.19.141.67 ip4:64.62.151.106 ip6:2001:470:1:1ee::3 ip6:2001:470:1:1ee::2002 ip6: 2001:470:1:1ee::2009 include:_spf.google.com include:smtp.spf.ziggo.nl ~all - DMARC: v=DMARC1; p=none FYI: I determined the spf value on the spf values of heliohost.org and other values I found on the forum and Plesk. Correct/improve it please if necessary but please keep/add "include:smtp.spf.ziggo.nl". Thank you. ?

Dear Wolstech, thank you for your message. Yes, I already had selected "SSL/TLS certificate for mail" for webmail. ? Out of curiosity: is it harmfull of will it e.g. lead to errors, if I still enable/select "SSL/TLS certificate for mail"? Kind regards.
-
Hello. My domain is hosted on ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org for hosting and webmail and pop/stmp service. In Plesk, the default value for "SSL/TLS certificate for mail" is "not selected". Elsewhere in Plesk I read this "No need to secure mail if you do not use mail for the domain or you use the server domain name for mail and the server is secured with an SSL/TLS certificate. Question: 1) is your mail server secured with an SSL/TLS certificate and 2) do I have to enable "SSL/TLS certificate for mail" ? I have not been able to find any info about this matter at https://wiki.helionet.org/. Hopefully you can give me more insight on this. Thank you and kind regards (User vvenet)

Thank you for you reply dear KazVee. Yes I am aware that you all are volunteers so please do not feel rushed or anything like that. ? Thank you for your tips. Request for now: can you please remove the following domain in my account: vvenet.heliohost.us including the four subdomains. So in total the removal of five domains. Thank you and kind regards
-
Dear Wolstech, thank you for your swift reply. I can confirm that I own these domains. I have full access to the registrar's DNS in order to have those domains pointed to Heliohost's hosting servers. To start with, I would first like to configure stichtingdecitadel.nl correctly. Learn from that and once that domain has been configered properly, have the other domains pointing to Heliohost. I do this step-by-step since I don't want to disturb incoming and outgoing e-mails from the other domains. Once all is configered well, I can swiftly configure the other domains too. For your information, the domain stichtingdecitadel.nl is already pointing to Heliohost (ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org since this is stated at https://wiki.helionet.org/faq#what-are-the-nameservers-for-heliohost). If I have to set it to another Heliohost nameserver, please forward me those details. ? Thank you so much for your patience and understaning. Kind regards.

Hello, I made a request and you responded very swiftly. Thank you. But I made a additional request by replying to your answer, regarding the same subject. There has been no response yet. Do I have to make a new request each time, by starting a new topic? Or did I do the right thing by continuing the conversation by replying to your message? Thank you. Account: vvenet )
