  1. According to the status monitor tmp is only 22% full now. Does your script work?
  2. If you want a .TK domain you are able to get one here http://www.dot.tk/en/index.html?lang=en as for the name servers all you should need to enter is ns1 and ns2.heliohost.org and add the domain as parked, addon domain or change it to your main domain name and away it should go.
  3. A slower client will use the same amount as resources as a fast one just the resources used by the slow one will be used for a longer time period... E.g the time the resulting page stays in the servers memory.
  4. @anush What happens with the run time is the client requests the script and the server processes it and the result sits in the servers ram while the client downloads it. So if a client has a slow connection then the resulting page sits there for a while until its done where a client with a fast connection may only have the page sit there for a few seconds as it downloads. So the time it takes for the client to get the page is not counted as execution time. The execution time is the time it takes for the server to generate the page for the client.
  5. Yea I've seen the export option in phpmyadmin and it will export to a csv file but I have yet to find a way to schedule a recurring export of a db.
  6. I was wondering if it is possible to export data from a sql database to a csv file on the web server. I initially thought of something like a cron job so it can run at a set interval but I don't even know if this is possible. The reason behind this is that I need products to be exported from a e-commerce store so they can be imported by a crawler that will look for the specific file everyday.
  7. Hey guys I've been frequently getting a lot of 500 errors when I've been trying to use helionet. I wasn't sure if you were aware of this or if this is just an isolated issue anyway I know the error page just displays a standard text but it's below for reference. Is there anything that can be done to help remedy this or will we just have to work around it? Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, ashoat@gmail.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
  8. Well I'm from New Zealand....
  9. Like I said my site loads fine... It's http://arweth.co.cc/ btw. But the site in question by Pasarel (http://revista-floyd.tk/) Still returns a 500 error. So what I was meaning before is could it be a problem that is only affecting specific accounts or they way they have configured something?
  10. Stevie is definitely is still giving 500 errors but it does not seem to be for every site my site loads fine on stevie but the above site after a delay will return a 500 error... So maybe it could be problem with the above account? Or an intermittent problem?
  11. That's good to know that the funds are going well... Always good to hear that I've had a little look around as well but I didn't find that site as of yet though my searching. I have had a little poke around and can't find the site I saw it on... For some reason I can't find it in my web history (although there is a lot to go though)... Well since it isn't need I won't look too much into it but it was something I thought was interesting at the time I found it and it could be useful in the future anyway.
  12. I'm not quite sure if this is relevant to the topic above but I forgot about the problems occurring with the domains and added a parked domain to my site today and received an error when it added but did not bother to post anything here since there are already posts concerning a similar issue (this for example) but anyway back to the topic. After creating the parked domain it showed up in the list of parked domains associated to the site and is now fully operational all the DNS entries exist in the two name servers and when browsing to the new domain the site loads correctly. So I wasn't sure if this was related at all but just in case I thought I should post in as it could help maybe
  13. I don't know of a script that does this but then I haven't had time to look either. I can't even remember the site that I first saw it on so I'll have to poke around in my history to see if I can find it and go from there. A way that I thought it could be possible to do is have a variable in the php scripting that is changed when the ad is displayed which will then let the rest of the site load or hide a message banner etc. But then I haven't done a lot of scripting with php and it depends on how the ads are displayed as well I guess so that may not be possible... It's just a thought anyway. @Wizard That's true it may not be completely moral to do so but I agree with what cl58 said as a warning banner possible something simple like the old forums warning that you were not logged in requesting for the blocking software be disabled for the site.
  14. Firstly I know that HelioHost is funded completely though donations and the ads that are displayed throughout the site. Anyway what I wanted to know / suggest is why don't you add an error message that is displayed if someone is using ad blocking software in their browser. I'm not sure as to how it is done but I have seen it done before where the site has forced me to disable the software to be able to see the content. The reason I ask this is if the ads are not displayed you don't get any revenue from them so why not just have a error that is displayed which forces people to turn the blocking software off so more ads are displayed? I run AdBlock Plus in chrome and keep forgetting to change the settings to allow ads on your sites so that you are supported even if its though a few ads being displayed. Well that is just a thought anyway you guys might have a reason not to do this but if you hadn't considered it you may be able to use this as an idea.
  15. To be truthful while I've been here Stevie has been off and on every now and then but it has not been all that bad... You have to remember that this is a free host so you are not paying for support staff to sit around waiting for part of the system to fail. The admins here do their best to keep everything running smoothly but sometimes things happen that are out of their control and their may be downtime due to it. You can move to another host but for the most part you will have a lot of trouble finding one that provides all the features that are provided here even for the paid hosts... I know because I have looked, but in all I'm still here so really all you need is a little patience and it will work itself out sooner or later.
  16. Yea it's helpful if you want to come back like I did but then again it will mean a lot more resources are used by people who gave up here... So hopefully the script is repaired sometime soonish don't really want all those inactive accounts sitting around.
  17. If I remember correctly this domain was complained about before in the Contact HelioNet forum before the forum upgrade and as such the older contact posts are missing (although this was quite sometime ago) so maybe Murray is referring to an older record of when it was pointing to the HelioHost servers.
  18. From what I have read before (this was around 6ish months or so ago) You are able to have an account on both servers if you were wanting to use the services on Johnny and had a different site on Stevie. You do how ever need a different user name and website address for each account (You can't use the same username on stevie and johnny and the same address i.e Waflix.heliohost.org for both accounts; I just used your username here for the example by the way). So as far as I know yes you can, but that may have been changed as of recently. I also agree with xaav here as I do not see why you would need one on both servers. If you wanted to use services on Johnny you can also transfer your stevie account to Johnny and use the services there. Anyway I hope that helps
  19. Ah well that explains it... Quite good timing with that happening I decided to carry back on with my site and since that script hasn't been working it means my site still exists the same way I last left it
  20. I was just wondering has the 30 day necessary account login be removed from stevie or has it just stopped working? The reason I'm asking this is because it has definitely been more than 30 days since my last login to cPanel. Before today the last time I logged into it would have been around the 25th of September. I couldn't find anyone asking this and the inactivity period is still listed as part of the suspension policy as well so I thought I would ask.

    Server Load

Ah ok, I wondered if it was a system generated value or if you had to produce the system completely... but its still interesting to know Anyway thanks for the quick replies
  22. Hey Guys, I'm not sure if this is a temporary problem but stevie is not responding to http requests, ftp requests or cPanel. According to Piotr GRD's monitor the server has only just started playing up again and the load has increased again (it's around 80 at the moment). I'm going to assume that the server not processing sql when it does repsond a http request is due to the server load or something similar thats causing everything else to stop. Anyway I thought I would let you guys know in case you hadn't noticed it..

    Server Load

Hey guys, I was just wondering how your system calculates the server loads... By this I mean what sort of things are taken into consideration when the number is calculated... As I'm writing this Stevies load is 156.78 but that's due to the upgrade. Anyway I was just curious as to how this is done. Thanks
  24. Also another way that has helped rather than clearing the cache for the entire web browser you can just push Ctrl + F5 and it forces a refresh of that page which has helped with the problems. Just thought I would add that as it may help some of the members. I have also added the code above to the site for now but i will probably remove it once everything is running soothly.
  25. Yea I've figured out now that my broadband router also caches the pages as well so I have to reset that if the pages don't load correctly after a update and that usually fixes it as well as flushing my browsers cache.
