I don't know if you guys (or ladies) know this site, but this site give's paid software away free for 1 day. Every day they offer a different software And it is all legal! No scam, viruses, spyware or any other nasty bugs. They mostly provide software for windows users and from time to time for mac to. Sometimes it can be useful software and sometimes not. You can find more information on there site: http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/

I agree with Krydos. And today, most of the browsers uses this new menu. It looks a lot more cleaner then with all those bars and buttons over your "entire" screen.
-
I see the same as Krydos. The problem is not with Helios, but with your forum database. Try to restore a back up of the database using MyPHPadmin in your cPanel. If you don't have a backup, then I would advice to re-install the forum completely.

[Solved] Increased Web Space For Forum Posts ?
Tjoene replied to Brother Hassan's topic in Escalated Requests
I like this to! More space is more useful then a TLD. I clean often file that I strictly don't need for my site to keep my disk space as low as possible. -
Thanks byron! I setted it up as a parked domain. I can see a queued page right now.
-
Never mind. I saw there was a script to do this. Sorry for the post.

Is it possible to change the domain name? I currently use lab22.heliohost.com but I would like to use lab22.cz.cc Do you need to delete the account and start over, or not? Thanks on advance, Tjoene

Same here. I'm also on Stevie. Thanks, Tjoene

Delete your cache. I see your site.

.tk domains are just URL Forwarding. They point to a domain the user gives up, but you will see the .tk domain in your adress bar.

I had hoped you could enable it for every one. But you should certainly enable it for heliohost en helionet! How ever, it could be useful for stevie and johnny. If you install it on cPanel, people will see an icon in cPanel. That will lead to a page where you can choose to enable cloud flare. If people want to use it, the app will do all the changes that need to happen automatically. You only need to supply an email address, and cloud flare will send a password so you can log in. And about the stats, it they DON'T take place on the helio servers as far as I know, but on the cloud flare servers. So they don't stress the helio servers, but you can view them in cPanel. Every 24h the stats are refreshed, since you use the free service. If you pay they will be refreshed every 15 min. You can also change all the settings using cPanel.
-
Yes it does. That is why we always the same side. It rotations in such a way it always faces earth with the same side.
-
And the best part of the whole story is that is it free. Also, you will have stats for your site. Although only every 24h a refresh, but you have them.

I see a Durpal first page on your site. I seems to work.

I came across this site called www.cloudflare.com. It is a free service, and NOT a hosting provider. This service speeds up your site, protect it, put less load on the actual server and keeps the server online, even when the server is down. (here is a good review of how it works: http://techgeeks-online.com/2010/cloudflare-review/ ) When I googled for it, I only found good reviews of it. (e.g. http://developdaly.com/web-design/cloudfla...bounce-rate-94/ ) It seems you can also integrate it in cPanel: https://www.cloudflare.com/wiki/Cpanel I don't know if this actual works, but if it does, it would be great to have it here. Maybe you could use to keep the server load down. Or isn't this possible to use it here?

I use Simple Machines Forum with a Portal mod. It's like Joomla, but much simpler and faster to set up. I've tried to set up a Joomla site twice, and I've abandoned it, unfinished. It was to difficult for me to set up all the menu bars, ect... With SMF, it's like plug and play. Install the forum, then the mod. And you have a site ready to use. You just have to do some minor modifications.
-
I prefer Chrome. Simple for it's speed. Although IE9 is getting pretty close to chrome.
-
Thank you for the fast problem!!

I have a question about mod_rewrite. Is this feature enabled on the server? If yes, how can you enable it on your site. I need this for a mod on my site to rewrite the urls. Thanks, Tjoene

3th time for me... Site queued to.

Same problem here to. We have to wait for an admin. The same problem occurred 2 days ago. (see Topic 9048 )

A good way of hiding errors is fixing them. Or you can suppress them using a try-catch block. Put all the coding in the try block and place an empty catch block for the errors. This is will prevent PHP from showing the error. More info about try-catch: http://php.net/manual/en/language.exceptions.php EDIT: you do gonna need to know what error occurs. and what the code for the error is. You have to google that.

Thank you! I can get back on my site!

Stevie is online. cPanel works to, but you when you visited a site on stevie, you'll see account queued. And about the down time. It's because it is just to much for Stevie. And that results in server crashes or problems.
