  1. You may try the following:

    1. At the freedns.afraid.org set the example.uk.to as NS type subdomain pointing to the address ns1.heliohost.org.

    Wait some time for propagation.

    2. At the HelioHost cPanel try to add example.uk.to as a parked domain (parked, if you wish to point it to the same files you already have accessible through example.heliohost.org).

As wolstech wrote, HelioHost will accept as the addon or parked domain only such domains, that are pointing to the HelioHost nameservers. I'm not sure if it will accept domain with only one NS record pointed to the ns1.heliohost.org  (you can not add more on freedns.afraid.org).

If HelioHost cPanel will accept it, note the inconvenience, that practically only ns1 will be used for your domain (that's the way it is with freedns.afraid.org).

  2. * Because of the queue (I check dozens of servers) for most of the time my monitor check the HelioHost 16 seconds after full minute (every two minutes) and usually at 00:00:16 UTC it's already too late to register on Tommy.

  3. Hi.

Because your time was set to August 1st 2021 (such date has an email about account being inactive) my testing account on Johnny has been turned off.

And while my monitoring has still tried to connect through FTP, my IP - the one I use now for posting - has been blocked. Please, unblock it.

    Thank you.

  4. Hi.

Unfortunatelly this time "lack of activity" emails went to my spam (while before it was fine).

My accounts on Ricky and Tommy (used for monitoring purposes) has been deactivated, so login attempts to FTP done by my monitoring caused my IP being blocked. I'll remove false results of my monitoring, of course.

Please, unblock my IP - the same I am using for this post - on Ricky and Tommy. Sorry for the trouble.

  5. Thank you, but still the same.

I can not even ping neither *.131 or *.67 IPs of Johnny.

'Tracert' ends at "10ge1-1.core1.fmt1.he.net [72.52.92.109]" and no reply after.

I've temporarily disabled monitoring of Johnny and will delete false results.

  6. This morning (morning in Europe, late night in America) I found these posts of lensoft and wolstech and I've switched my monitor to the other IP - no luck (now I've switched back to .67). Apart of that few times in last few days I've tried to connect to the Johnny server "manually" through few domain names (so current IP set at the HelioHost DNS was in use) from my own and from two other locations and it was unavailable every time (however that could be just a bad luck when it was very slow, that was just few connection tries). And if we'll add "HelioHost" forum user signature with "Johnny: down, uptime 5%" - I assume that either Johnny server is really down or connections to it are blocked for large number of source locations (if there is/was a problem with DDoS then some anti-DDoS tools could block wide range of the world, not only the attackers).

    PS.

My "disk space info" tool is accessing HelioHost servers from other location than my monitor and is doing it every 15 minutes through domain names (not fixed IP). For last three days Johnny was only occasionally available for that "disk space" tool, at 2:40 UTC July 31st, 4:10 UTC August 1st.

  7. Hi

I have already re-activated my own test account, but for all other users, please, make sure that 30-days without login to cPanel deactivation period works correctly on Johnny. Why?

I've just get an email and my account has been deactivated after just 6 days from last login.

Your hosting plan at HelioHost has been discontinued for inactivity. In order to keep your website active you must log into your control panel at least once every 30 days. The last time you logged in was 2018-05-31 [6 days ago]. All visitors to your domain(s) will now see an inactive page instead of your original content.

My account was one of the very first accounts, so maybe it's just a small bug for this specific account. But if not, then other users may have similar problem tomorrow and in the next days. Maybe introduction of inactivity email warnings announced yesterday caused some error.

  8. @Piotr GRD You should fix the monitor for Johnny. (and cpanel monitoring)

I didn't know about the IP change (and I don't visit this forum enough often). On webhosts where IPs change from time to time I try to detect these changes automatically, but here, on HelioHost, IPs were usually the same for many years, so I don't.

Now, for 24 hours already, my monitoring of Johnny works (thank you, admins, for email).

cPanel thing is a different story, mainly about my problem with procrastination.

  9. (...) But that only affects Internet Explorer on Windows XP. (...)

Internet Explorer on Windows XP do not support SNI, so it does not really matter on a shared webhost like HelioHost if it support Forward Secrecy or not.

    From my end:

    XP + Firefox 3.6 = works

    XP + Opera 12 = works

    XP + (Chrom)Opera 30 = works

    Offtopic:

Yes, I am still using Windows XP. And as long as everything that I need works on it, I will still use it. Later on, when in the future it will really by unusable I may consider Windows 7 or some distribution of Linux. No, I don't need up to date system or software, software from 2000-2005 has all functionality that I need or want, except of web browsers. I even prefer older software because it works good on old hardware, it needs less disk space, less memory, accept slower CPUs, does not need advanced GPUs. And as long as old hardware still works, I see no reason in replacing it. There's enough trash and we use more resources of this planet than we should already, I don't need to add my trash and use my part of planet resources

  10. I start to be mad for my service provider. Previous IP I have had for almost two years, the last one for two weeks and it has been change again. I hope new one will last "little" longer.

That's why my service hasn't working correctly for last ~12 hours.

I think that being on your whitelist isn't really needed, but if you wish to put my new IP - currently used for this post - on it, then thank you in advance.

  11. Hello

So far so good, but last time there were some problems, so now I ask you in advance.

Unfortunatelly, two days ago my IP has been change again, like a year ago. This is the reason why there was no results displayed on my monitoring page.

Please, @HelioHost admins, put my new IP adress - which is the same that I use now here on the forum - on the whitelist on your servers. Thank you. Last time, my monitor was banned without whitelist. Now it's not, but who knows.

  12. TZ works for older versions of PHP, in newer versions date.timezone.

In my PHP scripts I have:

putenv("TZ=UTC"); // enough for older PHP versions
date_default_timezone_set('UTC'); // required for newer PHP versions

I set it inside of my scripts as I use two or more timezones at once (for displaying two time graphs).

In .htaccess, If I'm right, it will looks like:

    php_value date.timezone "UTC"
