  2. You want to make it ourselves? Coming from someone who has done a lot of PHP contract work: that's a huge undertaking.
  3. Looks fine to me right now... Let me know if any issues persist.
  4. Okay, you should have a dedicated IP now.
  5. Are you able to log in to the server with a script? I think I see the PostgreSQL process in the system process tree.
  6. Whatever VM we'll be using to host HelioHost/HelioNet on Charlie won't be using the cPanel/WHM platform... so that shouldn't be a problem.
  7. Hmm... "/usr/local/texlive/2010/bin/x86_64-linux" is a folder in our installation, and it's chmod'd to 755 (so everyone should be able to view its contents). Do you know which particular file it's unable to read?
  8. WebDisk should be re-enabled now.
  9. Honestly, I'm not even convinced that the Stack Exchange thing is good for us... we'd have to see if it allows the same level of moderation as a standard forum does. Does anybody want to try out the software in the OP and see how it works? As for hosting... with Charlie we'll be able to segregate important services onto a separate VM.
  10. I'll need your HelioHost username to give you the dedicated IP. WebDisk should be re-enabled now.
  11. xuepx - your IP should be changed and your site should be visible within 24 hours. KaMzAr: what is your HelioHost username?
  12. It's actually a lot more of a hassle, since cPanel only works well with Mongrel. We'd have to either grant folks shell access or have them touch files to restart the server.
  13. The thing is, if this operation fails, PostgreSQL will be down for a while and it might take me a lot of effort to take it up again. Also, backup operations can be very disk intensive... and HelioHost's disk IO is always at a peak. Is there a particular reason you need version 9?
  14. Not quite. The only parts there relevant to our installation involve restarting the daemon. The issue for us is that we have /both/ PostgreSQL 8 and PostgreSQL 9 installed, and the binaries are linked up to use PostgreSQL 8 instead of 9. We need to remove PostgreSQL 8, but we have to make sure we don't delete the databases in the process.
  15. This isn't looking pretty... At this point, I'm relatively close to having Charlie set up. Perhaps you guys would be cool with just waiting it out?
  16. Still getting: root@stevie [/home1/onfreund/rails_apps/art2d2]# bundle show will_paginate Could not find mongrel-1.1.5 in any of the sources Are you sure you changed it correctly?
  17. I'm not entirely sure what's happening. My guess is that I need to uninstall PostgreSQL 8.1 before I install 9.0, but I fear that running something like "yum remove pgsql" will result in all the databases being wiped out.
  18. root@stevie [/home1/onfreund/rails_apps/art2d2]# bundle show will_paginate Could not find mongrel-1.1.5 in any of the sources Ugh... this is probably a result of the downgrade I did in the other thread. Is there a way to fix this?
  19. Looks like I installed 1.1, but didn't uninstall 1.1.5. Could you try again now?
  20. There aren't any files named ".bundle" or ".bundler" in root's homedir... Any other ideas?
  21. I've downgraded Mongrel to version 1.1... can you try now?
  22. There was really high load on the server this morning, but it should be dying down around now. The TeXLive installation is located at /usr/local/texlive/2010. I'm not sure where to find the executables, but your path seemed to make sense.
