Apollodo Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Hey, I've never been a server administrator so I don't know how hard this is, but would it be possible to enable Server Name Indication by using the mod_ssl module as outlined here? I (and I'm sure others) would like to encrypt certain logins, but its not worth paying for. Also this would enable encrypted logins to cPanel.
cl58 Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 This support request is being escalated to our root admin. Are there any security/stability risks involved? If it raises the server load to much, it probably will not be able to be enabled.
Golden Chang Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Hmmmm... I remember that we have mod_ssl "Apache/2.2.16 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.16 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_mono/2.6.3 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 mod_bwlimited/1.4 mod_auth_passthrough/2.1 mod_wsgi/3.3 Python/2.7.1 Server at golden.twbbs.org Port 80" I google it, but I'm not sure if there are any risks for it.
Ashoat Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Sorry, but it looks like cPanel doesn't support SNI at this time...
