Ashoat Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 black star, could you try switching permissions to mirror the ones we have?
jje Posted June 24, 2011 Posted June 24, 2011 He can't, since he can't access cPanel or FTP. I'll do it as soon as I get back to my home PC.
PenTester Posted June 25, 2011 Author Posted June 25, 2011 I can't understand. Is it possible to solve this problem? Help me please
jje Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Okay, I matched the permissions as best as I could. It doesn't seem to have worked though. In the process, I noticed a couple more differences: - missing 'access-logs' and 'public-ftp' folders - the details of the 'etc' folder says 'mail' instead of 'blacksta' - the details of the 'public_html' folder says 'nobody' instead of 'blacksta'
PenTester Posted June 25, 2011 Author Posted June 25, 2011 Is it possible to solve this problem? Or shall i register new account? But if i register new account, i will lost my data of top site.
jje Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Just wait for djbob now. However, if you like, I can compress your sites files and let you download it, just incase. Would you like me to do this?
Ashoat Posted June 25, 2011 Posted June 25, 2011 Honestly, I'm not sure what's going on now. My guess is that your account is corrupted in some way. Would you be okay with us deleting this account and you registering a new one?
PenTester Posted June 26, 2011 Author Posted June 26, 2011 It's ok. But i need my backup of top.breakthesecurity.com website with database backup.
jje Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 Okay, I have backed up your public_html folder and will PM you the zipped file in a moment. Please can you PM me your database name, username and password to me so I can give you that.
PenTester Posted June 30, 2011 Author Posted June 30, 2011 I have created new account with johnny server. My username is Hacker. You can delete my old account(blacksta).
jje Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 Do you still need your MySQL Database backup? Please use the delete script: http://www.heliohost.org/home/support/scripts/delete
Guest Geoff Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 The problem was that the .cpanel directory was corrupted, causing cpanel not to load. (Cpanel looks there for it's template when it loads, and it got a bad template). The solution would have been to simply rm -rf .cpanel directory, but he has deleted his old account, so no point now.
Ashoat Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 Nice catch, Geoff! Glad to have you back to figure these things out. Have you previously encountered this issue, or did you just Google it?
PenTester Posted July 1, 2011 Author Posted July 1, 2011 I need my sql backup but i forget my username of database.
