[Solved] How do I make my Domain SSL?

Hello, I want my domain to use SSL so it doesn't get blocked as much as normal sites do. I generated a key, a request, and a certificate in cpanel for my domain. But when I go to my domain, it still comes up as http and not https. Can anyone help me?

PS: My webdisk doesn't work for some reason either.

Thanks!

My domain is babyginge.heliohost.org

My Certificate:

[[REMOVED FOR SECURITY REASONS]]

Please edit your post and remove your private certificate info so nobody else can use your certificate! ;)

WebDisk has been disabled because not many people used it and to minimize server load. Why don't you use FTP instead? I believe it is just the same as WebDav except with less security.

In cPanel, under 'SSL/TS manager', have you tried 'Activate SSL on Your Web Site (HTTPS)'?

You will also need a dedicated IP to use SSL. Post back here if you want a dedicated IP to use SSL, and I'll escalate this.

Thank you for all of the help, and yes, if I need a dedicated IP, ill do it. And is a dedicated IP a computer with a public IP address that has to be left on? Because I already have one.

And also, There is no option saying "Activate SSL on Your Web Site"

Before we start, note that SSL may cost you money if you want the green padlock in your browser. (It is possible to use SSL without paying money, but browsers will not show a green padlock, and may even show warnings that your site isn't secure.)

Steps to get SSL activated on your website:

1. Go to http://cpanel.heliohost.org/frontend/x3/ssl/keys.html

2. Under "Generate a new key", "(Select a domain)" that you want SSL installed on

3. Under "Generate a new key", click "Generate"

4. Go to http://cpanel.heliohost.org/frontend/x3/ssl/csrs.html

5. Under "Generate a New Certificate Signing Request", fill out the form with the appropriate information

6. Under "Generate a New Certificate Signing Request", click "Generate"

7. Under "SSL Certificate Signing Request", copy ALL of the text that appears in the first box

Use the Certificate Signing Request to get a Certificate

8. Go to http://cpanel.heliohost.org/frontend/x3/ssl/crts.html

9. Under "Upload a New Certificate", "paste the crt below"

10. Under "Upload a New Certificate", click "Upload"

11. Go to http://cpanel.heliohost.org/frontend/x3/ssl/install.html

12. Under "Install/Update A SSL Host", "Select a Domain"

The top two boxes should fill up. If they don't you did something wrong. The bottom box may fill up.

13. Click "Install Certificate"

Escalating request for dedicated IP.

Hey thanks!

I received an error saying I did not have a dedicated IP, but I saw that you said you escalated it. So Ill just wait until something happens.

Okay, you should have a dedicated IP now.

Thanks, I really appreciate the help!

Also, for some reason, when I install the certificate, I get an error saying "error from ssl wrapper:"

And then it fails to install...

Can you try doing it when the server is experiencing less load? (ie. less than 10)

I've been keeping track on the server load and I have tried to install the certificate every time I check. But unfortunately, the lowest I've seen the server load these past two days was around 15.

I'm still keeping a look-out for anything.

If you guys can provide detailed instructions and an exact error message I can send the problem over to cPanel and see if they can figure it out.

Here is the installation page. I just picked my domain and installed it. (There is another domain that's identical to mine except it has www. in front of it).

(The ca bundle box is empty)

Then after it loads to the next page, I see this:

Thanks for the help!
