jje Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 On HelioHost, accounts are NOT activated by hand - we have an automated script that does it. However, each account takes about 10 minutes, and there are currently ALOT of account in the queue for that script to handle. Also, the server needs to restart at the end of the day to finish the activation. Sorry for any inconvenience.
try2fly.b4ucry Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 so, it seems that i should wait for a long time??
Guest Geoff Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Yes. You will have to wait longer. Right now, there are about 8 pages of accounts registered on only one day. Stevie (our server) is desperately trying to keep up. Hopefully charlie (new server) will be up soon to ease the load.
jje Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 so, it seems that i should wait for a long time?? Sorry about the long wait. djbob has found an issue with the creation script and has solved it - your account should be active soon. eniedoc, your site is now active and working correctly. You can now login at http://stevie.heliohost.org:2082 . If you are still seeing the queued page then please reset your browsers cache.

Guest Geoff Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 i'm counting seconds to see my account!! If you aren't seeing your account, refresh your browser's cache.

If you aren't seeing your account, refresh your browser's cache. didn't work! like user 'eniedoc', i'm waiting here to get notified by one of the forum managers about accout activation. well, personally i think it's better for 'automated activation script' to automatically send another email to the users as soon as their account gets activated. this way, i don't have to check this forum, i can have good news in my email!

We're actually about to work on a script that will allow you to check the status of your account. Sorry it takes so long. We only have one overloaded server and four busy admins. According to the database, try2fly.heliohost.org is still queued.
