fengshaun Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Hi all, I created an account (username:fengshau domain:frugo.heliohost.org), but I can't yet login after waiting for 48 hours as instructed! How much more time should I wait before I can login? Also, frugo.heliohost.org is not working either. It seems non-existent! Thanks.
slcrazydiamond Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 I have the same with slcrazydiamond.heliohost.org (user slcrazyd). But I'm assuming its due to a backlog and we simply need to wait another 24 hours.
jje Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Like when my account was created, the process can take up to 96 hours - sorry! Please read the Commonly Asked Question (C.A.Q) guide before posting (on the Questions forum). Thanks, -Ethanw
Guest Geoff Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 If you stop seeing the account queued page and it has been 24 hours, that probably means your account was deleted by the corruption script.
fengshaun Posted December 19, 2010 Author Posted December 19, 2010 The thing is, I don't see an account queued page. All I get when I try to login to cPanel is "login failed." Then when I try to sign up again (assuming the account was deleted with the corruption script), it says the username is taken, so the account is there!

I've never gotten the queued page either, will see tomorrow though...then will be at the 96 hours for me i think Else will just retry after that if needed
Guest Geoff Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Something is obviously messed up; new accounts should see the queued page within minutes of registration.
Wizard Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 This support request is being escalated to our root admin.
Ashoat Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Geoff: Actually, accounts shouldn't see the "Account Queued" page until our script pulls them from the queue and installs them. The "Account Queued" page shows up for no more than 24 hours after that, between the time the account was installed and when Apache is next restarted. As for the accounts not being created... sorry guys, it looks like we have a bit of a backlog. Your account will be created eventually, but it's going to be late. I've shut down new signups for now so we can catch up.
fengshaun Posted December 20, 2010 Author Posted December 20, 2010 Thanks djbob. It looks like waiting is the only thing that can be done! Hopefully accounts will be created sooner than later.
slcrazydiamond Posted December 20, 2010 Posted December 20, 2010 Thanks all, just shows this is a very popular service
slcrazydiamond Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Ok I just got an email that there was an error with the installation and that i should signup again.....Which i can't due to the signup being disabled. Is there any other way to try again at this point? Thanks
Ashoat Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Not right now, but we should have signups up again within 24 hours.
fengshaun Posted December 24, 2010 Author Posted December 24, 2010 It seems like I have to wait another 3 days. 1 for the signups to be back on, and another 2 for the new signup to go through
