theta Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 Hello, I've been trying to use Heliohost for my .de domain, but when trying to change the nameservers from Gandi's DNS to ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org, I've received an error and the request does not go through. I emailed Gandi support, and they replied: When you try to update your DNS for a .DE domain name, the configuration needs to be checked by DENIC's zonecheck. This is a compulsory technical verification: http://www.denic.de/en/background/nast.html?cHash=3486f26050 On this domain, the zonecheck is not correct with ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org. Here is the error givent by the registry: Error 107 Insufficient diversity of Nameserver's IPv4 addresses You need to forward this message to your provider, so they can do the appropriate corrections Once this is done, make a new zone check. If the zonecheck is correct, you will be able to modify the DNS by going on your Gandi control panel. I'm not sure if this a known problem (searching the forums for the error code didn't provide anything), or if I've missed some FAQ along the way, but I hope to resolve this soon. Thanks.

Ashoat Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 They're whining about how the IP addresses for our nameservers look similar. That is not grounds for refusing a NS record change, and they should stop whining. Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do about it
