Nixot Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Hello everyone. I decided to switch to this host after problems with my other host. I've read good reviews for it in many places. I signed up and was told to wait 24 hours before I can log in. I have waited for 48 hours now and still I can't log in. I've set my domain's name servers to ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org right at the start, but still I can't get to my website - Firefox shows a "Problem loading page" sign instead. Logging into the cPanel on the home page doesn't help either. I am entering my username in lowercase every time, but every time it refuses me entry with the note "Login failed". What is going on? I've been down for two days already in what was supposed to be a smooth transition of the site. Now I have no domain with which to access my new site and no way of logging into the control panel, even after two days. What can I do to solve this problem?
Byron Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Anytime you post for help please include your domain name and username so will know what site to check.

Ashoat Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 We've got a bit of a backlog in the account queue. Your account should be created soon.
maplesa Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 "no-reply@heliohost.org Dear maplesa, Your hosting account at HelioHost has encountered an error during installation. The error is: Sorry, that's an invalid domain Please visit http://www.heliohost.org/scripts/signup.php and try to signup again." It is refused registration, specify for what reason
maplesa Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 "no-reply@heliohost.org Dear maplesa, Your hosting account at HelioHost has encountered an error during installation. The error is: Sorry, that's an invalid domain Please visit http://www.heliohost.org/scripts/signup.php and try to signup again." I think that it is not necessary to continue attempting to register so the registration information and login on the forum may be deleted.
Nixot Posted June 5, 2010 Author Posted June 5, 2010 Now I can log in, but I can't access my domain name of nixottia.co.cc. Everything on the control panel suggests it exists, but whenever I enter it into the address bar it just says "Server not found" like the website doesn't exist. Can I change my main domain name or delete my account and start again so I can set my domain as "nixot.helophost.org"? I really don't want to wait 30 days. My website has been down long enough as it is.
Wizard Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Did you set the nameservers to ns1.heliohost.org and ns2.heliohost.org?
Wizard Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 "Nixottia is my personal showcase of all the things that I think are internet-worthy. As you can probably see, I'm not very modest." Refresh your cache.
Nixot Posted June 5, 2010 Author Posted June 5, 2010 "Nixottia is my personal showcase of all the things that I think are internet-worthy. As you can probably see, I'm not very modest." Refresh your cache. This is the page of my old web host. I reverted the name servers for now just to let people know what is happening. I'm going to wait 30 days for my account to be deleted and start afrest with a "nixot.heliohost.org" domain.
