PHP-Nuke? Yeah right. I don't think so, because I've come across many website that used PHP-Nuke and had their frontpages defaced by hackers.

IPB is great, but if you want to go OS, I would have to say tinyportal. It's an extension for SMF, and is by far, the best thing I've seen out there.

What is the point of using them anyway? They take up space for no reason? Just manage the content yourself its not that hard, anyway if you wanted one why have them all flashy? You just want a content manager not a picture displayer.....

newer SMF but phpbb out of them - easy to use and great admin/mod control!

when I first started I was using phpBB2, and now I upgraded to phpBB3 and I must say phpBB3 is very good.

 

What I love about phpBB, is how you can just customize the hell out of it, vBulletin, IPB... you can also do the same, but with phpBB (at least to me) the sky is the limit... plus its free.

My vote isn't valuable since I never install any forum software before.

but as a browser, I can see PHPBB is widely used and accepted.

Also I feel it's quite user-friendly too.
