Dragonfire Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 I love Dual Core - but I won't buy it yet because it is a new kind of processor and a few of them might come up with some problem or something .. when something else comes out Dual-core processors price would go down then I would just buy it
tuwawah Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 Yeah I like the new Dual Core pc's too! So true though that by the time I wait for them to drop in price, they'll be old news. Microsoft REALLY better make Vista a GREAT OS, otherwise I think Apple might continue to gain more market share.
Prashant Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 For some reason Dual core rocks more on Linux than on windows, the reason might be in the fact that the linux kernel are much better stream lined for multi threading than windows
Prashant Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 The cheaper ones are the single core not the dual core. The dual core ones are costly from AMD side

As for the 64bit processors, there is not a stable OS for them ... is Bill Gates hearing me ?
Agent 47 Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 Oh I have Athlon XP and I think is 32-Bit. But work fine and normally ... Have fun with your new computer!
Kyougi Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Linux is stable, and several distros of Linux have 64-bit flavors.
HerLoss Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 Linux is stable, and several distros of Linux have 64-bit flavors. Ubuntu has a 64-bit distro, which is all a linux newbie needs.
Dragonfire Posted September 9, 2006 Author Posted September 9, 2006 do yu ppl knoe vista's performance goes way better if yu get a proper graphic card otherwise its almost the same .. vistas main thing is its display anyone knoe the difference b/w core duo and dual core
Plug Computers Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 I have built many computers. I love Dual core, the computer I currently use out of my home is an AMD dual core x2. Very reliable and stable (surprising for windows, i know, haha) Works wonders with XP 64bit edition.
1337 Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 I love Dual Core too.. but the Quad Core processors are coming Yeah. I'm an Ubuntu Linux user Windows is for newbies.
zdeev Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Get yourself a dual core AMD, there are already some nice programs to keep it running quite steady. And you don't have to deal with those stupid nforce boards too
