VPS for java and mysql

Hey guys I´m building a web system in java and DB in MySQL, does helionet support that? are there free services or very low cost for these needs?

Yes, HelioHost supports Java and MySQL on its VPS plans. While Java support is not currently available on our free shared hosting servers, we do provide low-cost VPS plans starting at $4.00/month for {1 GB RAM | 2 CPUs | 50 GB disk space}. With a VPS plan, you will have full root/admin access and can install webservers from scratch, use hosting panels, install databases, and customize your environment to your needs.

Regarding support on HelioHost free shared hosting, MySQL is supported through MariaDB, an opensource fork fully compatible with it, and as for Java we are working on implementing it again, but we do not have a specific timeline at this point. We will make an announcement on our News section and social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook) when it becomes available.
