HerLoss Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 All he's saying is that it isnt his fault, and he cant be held accountable, which he cant.
Kyougi Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 Makes sense, because we SHOULD be RESPONSIBLE for our OWN actions, not the one managing the site.
HerLoss Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 Thats like a kid going out and killing a whole bunch of people, and their parents going to jail cuz, they were responsable for their children.
Kyougi Posted October 5, 2005 Posted October 5, 2005 It's asinine to punish the parents. On the otherhand, they could get jail time for neglect.
HerLoss Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 I dont think it's ever happened, and it would be totally retarded if it ever did, I mean, unless the parent sat down and taught the kid everything they needed to know, theres no way they are responsable.
GameClaw_268 Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 actually, the kid goes to juvie, or is sometimes tried as an adult, in which he/she can go to jail. Not sure about the death penalty, though...
Spaceman3750 Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 In the US the bartender at a bar can be charged with involuntary manslaughter if he lets a guy get drunk and then he goes out and kills someone in a car accident because he was drunk... It should go the same way here, it's djbob's responsibility to remove those posts .
Ashoat Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 However, these posts are completely legal, so....
Korps Commander Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 you should remove them. The point is, they hurt people.
HerLoss Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 The whole thing with a the bars like that is its own law that doesnt pertain to any other situation. When you sell someone alcohol in that kind of setting, you become responsable for them as they are no longer capable of being responsable for themselves. Most places take your keys away when you go in and dont give them back till youre sober. In our case, there is nothing inhibiting a member's thoughts, so no one is responsable for them but themselves.
Korps Commander Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 So then djbob should force wee to change them......
HerLoss Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Wee is responsable for what he said, no one else. Djbob isnt responsable, so it should be none of his concern unless he wants to call it some kind of rule infraction. Otherwise, djbob is neither obligated to change the post, nor responsable for the original post.
