Mokothemonkey
So I have successfully registered for heliohost, and log in to my cpanel. I go through the little tutorial, and it simply tells me that all the files I upload to public/html will be available on the internet. The only problem is, I have no idea how to get it to work? I uploaded all the html, css, and image files into public/html, so now what do I do? This is my first encounter with cpanel - please be understanding
Wizard
You uploaded them into the public_html folder?
Mokothemonkey
You uploaded them into the public_html folder? Yeppers! Oh wait, now everything is up, but the images don't work. I also have those in the public_html should they be somewhere else?
Byron
Oh wait, now everything is up, but the images don't work. I also have those in the public_html should they be somewhere else? Everything you want the world to see should go inside your public_html folder and that includes sub folders inside your public_html like your cgi-bin, or your images folder, or any folder you choose to create. If your images aren't showing up on your web pages then check the url path on the pages themselves to see if they are pointing to another folder besides the folder the page is in. Wizard
Make sure the image file names are without spaces. Make sure the <img> tags and the values in the src="" are correct.
Mokothemonkey
Make sure the image file names are without spaces. Make sure the <img> tags and the values in the src="" are correct. Yeah, I had to change the file name from image.JPG to image.jpg Also took out a couple spaces. Everything works now! lanchongzi
48 hours..... in 24 hours alone can happen so much ( kudos to Mrs. Sutherland ) but 48? I hope I can make it..... so eager to see how it works. but I actually found many mistakes in the site which had to be fixed.... so maybe it is not a bad thing
