Unveiled Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Do all these server errors have to do with Stevie? Say I wanted to switch to the old server until the new one gets better, would that help?
JcX Posted December 6, 2008 Posted December 6, 2008 Everyone's in Stevie now. While the old server has went offline at 14th Oct if you could see it at below there http://www.heliohost.org/home/ Well... wait in patience.. this should be just temporary

While the old server has went offline at 14th Oct if you could see it at below there http://www.heliohost.org/home/ Well... wait in patience.. this should be just temporary  Oh okay, I saw that but thought it was the two week period that HelioHost was offline (pardon me, I'm new ) This has really been bugging everyone I bet, especially me since I just signed up expecting a lot from this host. The reason I switched was my old host, FreeHostia, was that it had tons of downtime and was really slowing down my site. I received tons of complaints. Well thanks for the info and the piece of mind, hope it all sorts out soon.
JcX Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 WElcome. I've tried freehostia too.... Honestly... I just not satisfied with the features they offered. So, I never really hosted on it for a long time. But from comments from hosting list, it's quite bad.
Unveiled Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 WElcome. I've tried freehostia too.... Honestly... I just not satisfied with the features they offered. So, I never really hosted on it for a long time. But from comments from hosting list, it's quite bad. Well it frustrated me tons of times. My site was down a lot, there was no dns support I think, the space is fine but my bandwidth was always over the limit, and lots of other cr@p. The only thing I found good with it is the response time to help tickets. It was astounding, I barely had to wait 5 minutes before realizing someone has already answered my ticket and has helped me out. HelioHost has much great features, but I'm really hating on the new glitches with the Stevie server.
JcX Posted December 9, 2008 Posted December 9, 2008 Well... just wait patiently as everybody does.. I've been using HelioHost for over a year, and this is the only period that turn me down. I believe it will get well soon.
JCM Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Excuse me, but does my and other's inability to log in to their CPanel have anything to do with this MEGA downtime?
JcX Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 Yes. But I'm still unsure of what's happening now. Either Apache problem, or some hardware/software glitches. djbob will come back and make a report as he always do once the problem is solved.
crazybmanp Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 wow, that last crash was bad, and to tell you guys, i looked on the stats and it was caused by the /var directory being full. so no mysql or other databases were working. along with a few php scripts.
kvhc128 Posted December 14, 2008 Posted December 14, 2008 Yay, HelioHost is finally up again after that long MySQL issue. (My website revolves around MySQL, so without it, my website would not function.)
Nick2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Still having downtime? When will the stability be back? I just switched over to this host.
CMMDB Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 I break out in a cold sweat every time heliohost goes down, because it almost always does after I've made a change to my site and I somehow always get the idea that I'm the cause... I must stop being so egocentric Nick2008: Nope, everything's back to normal now. Welcome to Heliohost!
Sungazer Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Not quite back to normal, but things do seem to be getting better after that long dry spell.
Wizard Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 Anyone seen djbob around? Edit: 555 posts, w00t.
bidswa Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Do we get some uptime from the server(s) from now on?
