Really wierd downtime, not experienced by anyone else?

Yesterday, while waiting for my free account to be validated, I tried to go on these forums on my House computer. I got the "You do not have access to <insert page here>" error. But I could go on HelioHost.

 

Today, I experienced downtime on my domain (scaperunerev.info) and the forums with the same Forbidden error. Anyone know about this? Is it because of my ISP or was the site actually down?

It is not because of your ISP, everyone is experiencing this error.

I am able to use the forums (obviously) but am unable to access my site.

 

I believe this has been addressed by djbob already. It has to do with open file limitations.

Please CHMOD the .htaccess file in your directories to 644.

 

Nevermind, the real fix is to CHMOD 755 your public_html directory.
