[Answered] Why Does The Server Load Dirt Slow Most Of The Time??

Why does the server load dirt slow most of the time it should not take 3 to 5 min to load my site most of the time.  Server will load just fine for 5 to 7 min then for 10 to 15 min it loads like 25x slower it does this over and over.  Could it be the server is hosting way to many sites and 3 or 4 sites are using 3 to 4 times more resources than it should be.  Why is up with the server load speed nobody is going to view my site if it is taking like 3 to 5 min to load it 65% to 70% of the time.

Update this server is slower than Slow 3 to 5 min load time 75% is pathetic to the 99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999x

At the moment Ricky and Johnny are both experiencing higher load, especially Ricky, due to the situation that occurred to the Tommy server. Many users from Tommy have been creating accounts on either severs which has placed further strain. As I write this, Ricky was down and now has a load of 40.41. Johnny is also considered an 'experimental' server and has generally less downtime. With some hope, Tommy should be back again sometime September with thanks to the great voluntary staff, so please take this into consideration.

Alternatively if you are interested, HelioHost do offer VPS at a monthly cost. You could otherwise find another host for the meantime.

I will switch in a day or 2 when I find a decent alternative I would go with x10 but I am banned from there.  The sever here is just to slow might be time to ban a decent number of account for users to many resources.  If any of these server is hosting more than 35 account then it is time to get another dedicated server with 24gb ram.  Also might be time to close registrations for the next 3 to 6 weeks untill you can get everything sorted out.

You can always use HelioHost again once the Tommy server is sorted and then hopefully the load will be better on all the servers. You would just need to ensure that in the meantime you sign in every 30 days so you avoid inactivity.

In the last 40 min my site has not even loaded once.  With the server loading this slow I do not know if I will be able to get a backup and to move to another host.  I will backup and restore from the Wordpress admin to another Wordpress admin on another host.

Ricky was experiencing a lot of downtime before. You should also be cautious with using WordPress due to the high CPU usage it can cause. Many do not recommend using it on HelioHost.

To add to what @BlueyEmperor said, the reason of the cause of suspension of a major %age of accounts, here at HelioHost is WordPress. One reason is that the high load it causes, another reason is its security loopholes due to which there's history of it getting hacked and ultimately the innocent user gets banned.  It's always the best if you can code what you need yourself but that's not possible for everyone, especially newbies. You can consider alternatives like Joomla which are light and efficient.

Oh! I assumed you're on Ricky in tandem with the recent complaints.

If you're on Johnny that's an all-time situation. It's already so slow with some time users adding to it.

Well as I mentioned briefly earlier, Johnny is more unstable and statistically has a slower up-time. Plus it does not help when Tommy users have been moving to the other servers. Since Tommy and Ricky are classified as production servers, signups are generally more limited due to the number of users who are on them. However, if you are interested in moving over to either servers, you can do so by donating. It may be probably best to do it once Tommy is good again if you want better server load. Otherwise, you would need to download a backup (if you wish), delete your account and then sign-up again to the server you want. You would then be queued and the time you are queued can vary.
